I recentlly discovered that Microsoft OneDrive, Phone Link, Microsoft Store and Windows Update had stopped working, all claiming I was not connected to the internet. This wasn't true, as my browsers were still working. I contacted Microsoft Support who found that their Quick Assist app couldn't connect.
Microsoft suggested a clean boot, and when I did this with Kaspersky Total Security V 21.3.10.391 running the problems persisted. After pausing the Kaspersky protection, all the Microsoft apps worked correctly.
Searching through the Kaspersky Forum I found this thread which provided a fix by Friend https://forum.kaspersky.com/topic/ms-teams-only-works-when-i-disable-my-kaspersky-35859/
This fix solved the immediate problems, and all the Microsoft apps worked correctly with Kaspersky protection running.
Reading further in the thread I found that I should have installed Kaspersky Plus to replace my Kaspersky Total Security. I have done that, and everything is working. -
For all who encountered the issue:
- enable Kaspersky protecion in Normal browser and in Safe Money browser (make sure that is is enabled in both browsers).
- Add the following URL to SSL exclusions (Settings - Network settings - Manage exclusions): bank.barclays.co.uk Click Save - Save.
- Restart browser and retest the issue.
Thanks - that works. -
Many thanks Alanch. Your workaround was successful and is safer than my exit Kaspersky in order to complete my Barclays processing.
Thanks to you too - my workaround worked as long as the Barclays site stayed on one tab. However, when it opened a new tab to read a pdf statement, most times it failed with security issues.
Turning off safe money allowed Barclays to open the new tab so I could view the statements. -
I am new to Kaspersky & having the same issue with trying to log into my Sam’s Club/synchrony account
to pay my bill & no matter what I try (even accessing via my online shopping account,
which is different than the credit card log in account) --
it gives me an Access Denied. Called Sam’s & they said it’s not their issue.
NONE of my other online accounts have had any problems.
Any suggestions and/or is there a different spot to actually request tech supportfrom Kaspersky for this issue?
Thanks
I’ve had a problem with the Barclays Bank site as described above. I got it working by doing the following:
Open up Kaspersky and go to Settings - the little gear wheel.
Click on Network Settings.
Find the Traffic Processing section and untick the ‘Inject Script into web traffic’ check box.
Then save your new setting.
Once you have checked if your problem web site is working, make sure you reverse this change by ticking the ‘Inject Script’ check box, until you next want to use the site.
Hopefully a bug fix will come along soon, although I’ve just installed a Kaspersky Total Security update and that didn’t include it. -
@Alanch, you need to enable Kaspersky extension in browser, disable Antibanner OR add the URL of the site to SSL exclusions.
Have you tried these workarounds?
Yes - I tried these and they didn’t work, but disabling script injection does: I’ll use this and turn script injection back on afterwards.
I hope the bug fix comes soon. -

- There is a bug for the issue (4567416). Investigation is in process.
Try to enable Kaspersky extension in browsers.
If the issue persists - the variant here is to add the URL to SSL exclusions, or to disable script inject option.

Thanks Flood - disabling the script inject option works for me. I’ll just have to remember to do it every time I want to use the Barclays site as I don’t want to leave it disabled all the time!
Any idea how long it will be before the bug fix is rolled out? -
Hello @ceejay,
Welcome!
Have you followed the instructions from @Anton Mefodys above?
Please let us know?
Thank you🙏

It would be useful if you could give us detailed instructions on how to do what is suggested. -
I’m still getting this problem using Firefox, Edge and Chrome in Windows 10. Has the known Bug [4567416] been sorted yet, and should I have had an update?

Problems connecting to Microsoft account outside of a browser, and a solution
in Kaspersky Total Security

I'm surprised, and a little annoyed, that I haven't had any communications from Kaspersky informing me that the Total Security product line had been replaced by Kaspersky Plus.
I've started this thread in case anyone else has a similar problem, so that they can use my solution.
