I have not had this problem anymore, just once. I have CF1 on all KES11.2 installations (as soon as it was published).

Generally, the task sometimes exits with an error state in the last few months. That was definitely better in the past.

I got it to work (with and without proxy), but the task runs now for at least two hours (before it took about 30 min., definitely less than an hour!). Sometimes, the task finishes with “but not all components were updated”. Is this normal?

Unfortunately, I have the same/similar issue. The global update task gets stuck after 53% or 71% (I terminate the task after an hour, also tried two hours). It worked the last time at 22nd of April. I also tried without proxy, but that did not help. My KSC always uses s13.upd.kaspersky.com (another KSC has the same issue, this one uses s15 and s09)…. Is it possible that the new update signatures at KES11.3 cause these issues? I have KSC11.0.0.1131b, I have KES11.3 Plugin installed.

do you have CF1 installed? or better KES 11.3

I am using KSC 11.0.0.1131b and KES11.2CF1.

Is it possible to create a report which tells me, how many computers are located in each subgroup (especially when a product is installed and uses up a license)? We have different locations and departments divided into subgroups and I need to provide a report who uses up how many licenses? I assume that this can be done with summary fields, but I have not found a report type which does what I want. When I use the report for key usage, I cannot add group as a summary field.

In my case, it was about 4-5 times. A signature update can also require a reboot, that is why I think this was a major signature update. This problem only happened once, but on several computers.

Sorry für die späte Antwort. Das habe ich leider noch nicht getestet. Ich habe es nur auf Server 2012/2016 installiert. Ich würde es an Deiner Stelle einfach ausprobieren. Wahrscheinlich ist das Schwierigere eher die Datenbank. Laut https://help.kaspersky.com/KSC/11/en-us/96255.htm dürfte Windows 10 im allgemeinen schon supported sein.

Bei mir läuft der Agent auf den Windows 10 Rechnern/PCs mit 1909 ohne Probleme.

You can also download the application from https://support.kaspersky.com/kes11#downloads (self-extracting archive!). When you use \\Svavs01\klshare\Packages\KES_11.1.xxxx\exec folder, I would use the whole content of the exec folder for deployment (not just the msi file!).

it should be “$msisetup….txt” or “$kl….txt” in C:\Windows\Temp

Do you know: https://support.kaspersky.com/14819#block4 I was able to do it with setup_kes.exe /s /pAKINSTALL=1 /pEULA=1 /pPRIVACYPOLICY=1 /pKSN=1 You can also create an autonomous installation package in KSC (Agent + KES + all settings) and install that resulting setup.exe with -s.

Have you checked the installation logs in C:\Windows\Temp (newest *.log files)?

Do you have an idea why a huge randomize time stops the group task from getting reliably started? Do you plan to fix this? If not, what is the maximum randomize time, which can be used?

Will it work? Do you plan to launch a newer version of KSE? Do you plan to do a compliance test with KSE 9.5.153 and MSSQL Server 2019 (and later versions) and update support article https://support.kaspersky.com/kse9#requirements.block0? I guess that Microsoft will continue to launch new MSSQL versions.

The downloadable version (https://support.kaspersky.com/kes11#downloads, https://support.kaspersky.com/de/kes11#downloads ) on Friday was still from Nov 2019, so it did not include the CF1. Now, it includes CF1 (it was updated). Too fast…

today you announced CF1 for KES11.2: https://support.kaspersky.com/15356#block4 Where can I download that update? Is it a seamless update? Do I need that CF when I have PF6012 installed (are the containing fixes the same or do you have additional fixes in CF1)?

Any information/experience on that? Would you agree with me when I say that if you do not use (new) MSSQL Server 2019 features, this should work anyway (since 2019 server is made out of 2017 server and basic SQL commands were not changed, …)?

I can only tell you what I do: I disabled the “scan encrypted connections” feature internally because we have another solution to scan encrypted traffic. So far that works (KES does not intercept the traffic), that is why I asked if the policy in the first post might not apply to the mentioned computer (this option works for me, also with KES11.2). I only enable that feature outside of the company and at home (for example) where I do not have self- signed certificates.

I checked today the 13 servers and the update group task was executed reliably every three hours, so the high amount of randomize time (>60 min) seems to cause the issue.
