  1. My experience is that the installation of 11.7 replaces 11.x (older versions). I think that in your case, it just did not do an installation of 11.7 (you still have the old 11.4 version installed). You can search for PCs with that specific KES version (or make a computer selection) and start the task only for these computers (mark them, right click, start task…)
  2. The first screenshot (KSC) always shows the latest version (11.7) or the version from the plugin, when you double click on the KES entry, you will see the exact installed version.
  3. Could you please provide a screenshot of that behavior, this is really strange (have never seen that)? Normally, KSC only starts the msi with some parameters, it is all done by the Installation program on the computer itself. You can start an installation task targeted on a computer which already has an older KES installed and it replaces that after the next restart. You can also start an uninstall task, reboot and start the install task.
  4. you should use server\ks4ws_x86.msi file within the zip file.
  5. Are you using the activation code? I had the same problem but then I just got the key files (https://support.kaspersky.com/common/buy/7180) and used them. --- SOLUTION --- https://support.kaspersky.com/16001
  6. In order to complete the update, the computer needs to be restarted (the local K icon will still show the old version until reboot). Where do you see the 11.7 version in KSC? Normally, the Plugin will be updated to the latest version and therefore will always show 11.7 (the latest).
  7. läuft evtl. zu der Zeit das KSC Backup oder die DB Bereinigungsaufgabe? Dabei wird nämlich der KSC für einige Zeit (bei mir sicher 10-20 Min.) defakto abgeschaltet.
  8. increase the number of stored events within the database.
  9. From my experience, this error is gone after reboot (if the computer is running for a long time) but completely uninstall KES, reboot and install KES (11.6) again also solves such issues.
  10. From my experience this starts the KSC global Update task (in background) and this can take long time (20 -40 minutes is normal).
  11. if the computer is running for a long time, a reboot of OS would probably solve the issue.
  13. ok, i mean https://msrc.microsoft.com/update-guide/vulnerability/CVE-2021-34527
  14. I am using KSWS on many servers and the task manager states 0 or 0,1% CPU load (for all kav* processes). I think that either KSWS is doing some work (scheduled update/scan task) or it is scanning/controlling other heavy process activity (e.g. a 3rd party application is doing a lot of I/O or CPU work and KSWS is checking that all the time -> exclude that 3rd party process as long as it is legitimate and not malware!).
  15. Normally, there is a special task (type) for 3rd party appl updates (KES is updated by the update task). Does the task start (periodically)? What is the status of that task? Does that task exists? Could you start the task manually?
  16. you can block SMB (TCP Port 445) via firewall, however why don’t you just change the NTFS permissions? Which Kaspersky software do you use (KES or KSWS)?
  17. From my experience, the mmc (client software) of KSC sometimes uses more CPU especially when it is opened for a long time, I just close it and reopen it (after that, the CPU usage is less than before).
  18. Is it possible to get a list of computers, where e.g. the badusb component is not installed (to be able to start a task for these computers to install/add that component)? It would be nice to have a report or a search parameter. Is that information somewhere stored within the KSC database? I can see it at every computer object when it is reachable/turned on under tasks but I have not found any general query method. We have KES11.5 and 11.6.
  19. From my experience, the started bat cannot access smb shares since it cannot authenticate to the smb server (since it is running as local SYSTEM account), maybe a share which is accessible by everyone might help. However, you can upload the data, which should be copied, into the installation package and copy it (locally) to the right destination (KSC copies the whole installation package folder to the destination computer anyway).
