[Kaspersky Protection Extensions]

[Kaspersky Protection Extensions]

I have been using the Kaspersky Total Protection software for several years. I now keep getting pop ups inviting me to activate a Kaspersky Protection Extension for the web browsers I use (mostlly Firfox or Chrome). Are these extensions trustwothy and do I really need to activate them if I already have "Total Protection"? What additional protection do they provide?
