Full Version: Safe Run Sandbox vs. IE8 InPrivate Browsing
Kaspersky Lab Forum > English User Forum > Protection for Home Users > Kaspersky Internet Security & Anti-Virus for Windows
Before downloading KIS 2010 last week I had been using IE8's InPrivate Browsing when surfing sensitive sites such my bank or brokerage. Now that KIS 2010 offers the new Safe Run Sandbox I've been using the two in tandem at same time, i.e. I open IE8 in Safe Run Sandbox mode via KIS 2010 and then click the IE8 InPrivate Browsing option.

Questions: Is one better than the other? And, am I wasting my time using both at the same time? Thanks.

it's not the same. inprivate browser only prevents storage of history and cache
the sandbox actually isolates your browser to prvent infections
