What is the number of mobile devices that you can use on one licence?

If I remember correctly, there were either 3 or 5 mobile devices that could be linked to one PC Licence(for one computer), correct?

Mobile devices shouldn’t count as “devices” when buying a licence for one “device”, right? Devices in this case means computer.

Hello.

 

Kaspersky licences apply to a number of devices, be they a Mac, PC, tablet or mobile phone.

 

For example, a 5 device licence can apply to any mixture of Mac, PC, tablet or mobile phone; one example would be 2 PCs, 1 tablet and 2 mobile phones.

Thank you for the quick answer, but that’s not exactly what I meant.

 

I believe I own the multi-device licence, which I think allowed me to use multiple mobile devices per one computer, but I’m not sure. I’m asking, because I’m currently facing a weird problem about exceeding number of devices for the licence and I’m afraid to add any mobile devices, in case it would cause more problems.

Hello @Rimanah,

What @Canard1066 has advised is correct.

  • If (your) license is for one user, 3 devices, for one year, you can install the licensed software on any combination of devices you wish, for example 1 PC, 1 mobile, 1 MAC or 3 PCs, or 3 mobiles, or 2 MACs & 1 PC & so on & so forth; the same applies for a 5 device license & or any other device number greater than 1. 
  1. Log into your MyKaspersky account, go to the Licenses tab, find the License in question, it will show how many devices the license has been issued for. 
  2. In the KIS application, select License, the line below Show details will show how many devices the license covers & or, select Show details, in the License details screen, the second line with show - License: x devices, y days
