Connection failed, physical error

seems to be a few topics with this as the subject, but nothing with any definitive solution!

 

i have just the one workstation on my network that is giving me this error, one of my newest additions infact?

a vista machine, but i do have others that run without problems.

for last week it has been giving this error when connecting to the admin server, it has for over 2 weeks worked fine?

 

so today i set up a seperate manual update task that updates directly from the internet

same error

 

Connection failed, physical error

 

machine is running normally, it is not in standby, we are having no other issues with nic or network tasks, other than this

 

client is using build .690

 

some help would be appreciated

BTW it fails at 8% everytime? so it is making some kind of connection

Is there any connectivity problem with this specific computer? I mean, if it has trouble to connect to the Internet, the Network, ...

Post a GetSystemInfo report of this affected computer.

Hello, I am a developer of AdminKit.

 

Please write where you have seen this error. If this error appears in EventLog please send me Kaspersky Event Log.

Build .690 shows that you are using an older version.

 

What version is your AdminKit?

 

Do you use the Ip-Adress or Netbios-Name in the settings from the agent?

ok on further investegation i can see its happening across all of my client machines

only the workstations though, the servers are fine?

none of them have updated this week so far!!!

 

as i have already said there is no connectivity issues with this machine or any of the others

it occurs when updating to the admin server or directly to kasperskys servers on the internet!

 

as its now happening to all of my clients i have to start thinking it has to be a version issue?

what is the newest client version then?

i suspect re-installing client on all machines or updating to latest may resolve, but why has it occured in first place?

 

admin kit version is: 6.0.1591

 

i use ip address to identify pc's in the agent, all pcs/servers use static ips

 

the connection failed, physical error message is showing under the task report status on admin kit

thanks, have downloaded now, will install and see if resolves

 

the majority of my workstations havent updated for 4 days

which would suggest it began this week, last week it was updating ok

ok appears to be working now using latest workstation version

 

maybe there is something in the update that is causing problems with v .690 ?

 

im going to roll new version out across network, so hopefully it will resolve issue with them all

I had the same problem and i've tried all the solutions that was mentioned in the forum previously, but sudden i disabled my firewall customized rules which had been applied on the domain of the specified workstations , and booom all the WKS successfully got updated.

 

I will analyse the rule settings to find out where was the confliction, as soon i reach to a result i will publish it.
