It clearly indicates that's it waiting on a thread to come back from AVP. This error occurs about 3-4 times per day. I've also attached my GetSystemInfo log here:

Thanks for your help!

According to your GSI log, you can disable Windows Defender.

Yes...sorry I have disabled windows defender. I still have the same issue. That DLL is just loaded into firefox...as I understand it, without the engine running that dll is useless anyway.

Either way it doesn't have any impact on the thread contention issue with Outlook as that above is a firefox issue.

Sorry it's KIS 2009 v8.0.0.357

I'm sure you can get that from the system dump but thought I would post it for easy access.

Is there a way to post a bug and have it tracked? I don't even know if anyone is looking at this at all.

Thanx.

I'm going to replace NIS 8 with KIS 7.

It appears that the NIS install already disabled Windows Defender.

I've been able to re-create this problem 100 times over....any idea what it could be?

THe computer came with a trial version of NIS 2008, so HP might have disabled Windows Defender

I'm still having this problem. I've tried re-installing KIS 2008. Has nobody else experienced this?

I'm having the same problem with Vista Home Premium and Outlook 2007.

I have 2 computers and the one running Kaspersky with Office 2003 and Windows XP has no problems. I've had nothing but problems with Kaspersky+Vista & Office 2007. I've just gotten finished reformatting my HD after a restart from a Kasperksy update corrupted my boot file.

It's discouraging to see the lack of response to your repeated requests for help here. I'm on the verge of switching back to Mcafee.

Anyway, if you kaspersky people have any answers for why Outlook 2007 hangs after installing kaspersky internet security 7.0.1.325 cde, I hope you post them here.

They told me to exit Kaspersky and use repair.

I did that, but it failed. I then uninstalled and reinstalled.

Yesterday it updated and wanted a reboot, and damaged my master boot file again. Black screen of death FTL. I had to use the Vista disc to repair Vista. I'm not installing Kaspersky again, it's worse than a virus. Reminds me of when I used to use Norton. Guess I'll go back to AVG for the time being...maybe Mcafee again.

Do not hijack threads from other members! :)

Um, this was Peebee's thread and I was responding to a question from Peebee, so I'd hardly call that hijacking.

AVG comment is not really helpful. And besides its between him and Support now.

Peebee, a new version of Kaspersky will be out next week.............Please try to uninstall the one you have with the tool:http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208279752, then install the new version and see hwo you fare. :)

Oh that did it! :) My outlook experience is so much better! The new 454 release works great!

You guys should back port this fix to version 7 as well. After 10 months of this my machine is finally working well!

Great job!

Ahh...I spoke too soon. Although the frequency of Outlook hanging has reduced tremendously, it does hang from time to time. Not sure if this is the same signature, but here is what the crash dump told me:
