Its a FP (False Positive... falsely detected as a dialer)... should be rectified soon, has already been reported.

... File should be clean, add it to TrustedZone/exclusion for now if you wish.

Yep can confirm it is a FP... I have a reply from KL

Hello.

Sorry, it's false alarm. It's detection will be deleted in the next update. Thank you for your help.

The first report I had came in was at 3:44 PM EST and by 7:30 PM the folks at Kaspersky had responded to my Email and verified this as a false positive.

I can only tell you that other companies have not always been so quick to fix their false positives. I'd like to thank Yury and the folks at Kaspersky Labs for their quick action.

Hi Bill,

I posted, at Castle Cops, the same FP that came after today's update from F-Secure. This confirms that it is in fact a FP. I hope FS fixes it, but since its Av is the Kaspersky engine, I assume that it will be fixed when Kaspersky fixes it.

Thanks all for the information. OldRebel, Castle Cops, provided the same information on my thread in the BillP forum.

Best,

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for covering me over at Castle Cops. It appears according to VirusTotal.com, Kaspersky has updated their signatures.

I also just posted a Blog entry about the experience.

http://billpstudios.blogspot.com/2007/06/d...-kaspersky.html

What really surprised me was how many others use Kaspersky for their engine.

I've heard from users of Zone Alarm, F-Secure and AOL Virus Shield.

You are very welcome, Bill. OldRebel kept us straight.

Kaspersky must have a "pretty good" engine, huh? biggrin.gif

Yes, it might not seem like it if you listen too much to certain posters at Wilders............! biggrin.gif , but yes it always has been, it's just become more mainstream/popular....................unlike 5 years ago when it was very much a geekprogram. wink.gif
