New install of KTS asks for password

I'm in the process of setting up a dual-boot system, as I'm transitioning from (don't laugh) Windows XP to Windows 7.  I've been running KTS for a few years on XP, and I'm currently on version (k) on XP, and I don't have a password configured for KTS on XP.  After installing KTS on Windows 7, it won't let me do much of anything (e.g., make changes to settings or even respond to dialog boxes) without supplying a username and password, which I don't have, since I never set one up for this installation. Is there some way to turn off password protection for the application?
