How to install Kes for linux via KSC?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am trying to find the procedure to install KES 10 SP1 for Linux using KSC, but it is not available in the online help on support.kaspersky.com.

Could someone provide the procedure?

Well... I had already found this article about the installation for Network Agent, my question is about KES. The main question is because I can download the .kud from support but it just creates a little package with few KBs, and when a run de task, it just returns a error saying that the installer can not be found.

You can make klnagent and kesl installation packages with custom settings in KSC.
For klnagent installation package:
1. Download archive files for remote installation of Kaspersky Security Center Network Agent for your version of Linux:
https://support.kaspersky.com/kes10linux#downloads (See additional downloads section)
2. Extract files to single directory
3. Download package for klnagent:
https://support.kaspersky.com/kes10linux#downloads (See network agent section)
and place this package to the same folder.
4. Create installation package (see menu Advanced->Remote installation->Installation packages, button 'Create Installation Package')
5. Right click package made in the previous step and in 'Properties' menu set IP of KSC-server etc.
For kesl installation package:
1. Download zip-archive files for remote installation of kesl:
https://support.kaspersky.com/kes10linux#downloads (See additional downloads section)
2. Extract files to single directory
3. Download package for kesl:
https://support.kaspersky.com/kes10linux#downloads (See network agent section)
and place this package to the same folder.
4. Edit kesl.ini file in this directory, its contents depends on your needs and should be approximately the same as below if you want to update kesl hosts from KSC and don't want to use KSN (for example).
EULA_AGREED=Yes
PRIVACY_POLICY_AGREED=Yes
USE_KSN=No
# SERVICE_LOCALE=C
# INSTALL_LICENSE=
UPDATER_SOURCE=SCServer
# PROXY_SERVER=
UPDATE_EXECUTE=Yes
KERNEL_SRCS_INSTALL=Yes
IMPORT_SETTINGS=Yes
USE_GUI=Yes
All settings are described here:
https://help.kaspersky.com/kes4linux/10sp1/en-us/161233.htm
5. Create installation package (see menu Advanced->Remote installation->Installation packages, button 'Create Installation Package')
After creation of these packages you can make to deployment tasks for any device selection (right click installation package and choose Install application)
After task completion you should have klnagent/kesl installations with preconfigured desired settings.
Make sure, that update source in Update task for KESL in KSC Tasks menu is set to 'Kaspersky Security Center Administration

Thank you!

Thanks @Nikolay Arinchev
Just a suggestion ... I believe that the links to remote installation should bring the packages .deb or .rpm, this would avoid this type of doubt.
