After update to KIS 19 my vpn speed has dropped 80%

Recommended Posts

I use NordVpn and after the auto update to my VPN speed has dropped some 70 to 80%. Before the update I had 100mbs now I'm lucky to get 25mbs. I turn off the vpn and all is good, I turn off KIS and all is good, meaning it goes back to normal. This update has once again borked  my VPN speed as earlier it took an update to fix a previous issue the KIS had with VPNs.

Hey Rich I'm sure your going to be on it. Don't ask me to send in info as I'm certain a rollback will fix the issue.

Thank You from a long time Kaspersky user.

 @lednard : Certainly Kis -19 could cause the slow down, but a compatibility issue

between your VPN and kaspersky, might be the reason too : That said it may

help to know the VPN's name - Installed on your computer..Anyway while

rich get into this thread : Try on the following steps to start up..

1) Change servers  :  2) Change VPN port | Protocol  :  3) Use a wired connection

4) Switch devices :  5) Restart your Modem | Router  :  6) Try IKEv2 (IP Sec)

IKEv2 = stands for "Key Exchange ver. 2" : IP Sec = Internet Protocol Security

7) Temporary disable local security software : 8) Restart your devices

PC - Laptop - mobilePhone,.Etc.  IKEv2 : is a tunneling protocol and

when pair it with "IP Sec" it becomes a very solid VPN protocol
