OK, maybe this will get someone's attention. I did a little Googling and found this: https://www.tomsguide.com/us/pictures-story/1323-best-kaspersky-alternatives.html#s1. Copy and paste this link to Kaspersky alternatives in your browser and maybe find a security system that doesn't have such a persistent, annoying, and apparently uncorrectable flaw. That's my intention, and I will act on it if the message doesn't go away permanently by Monday evening.

I am getting VERY annoyed with this message from Secure Connection. No matter what I turn off, it still keeps coming up every 30 minutes! I even turned the damn program off in System Configuration and it's STILL happening! I had uninstalled Secure Connection some months ago because of a conflict it was having with Windows 10 Creators, but a recent update of Kaspersky reinstalled it and now I can't escape this blight on my computer! It's especially annoying when it comes up while I am watching a video/streaming with its infuriating notification chime and lingering on the screen for what feels like an eternity unless I push it away. What is the point of this!? It at least makes sense when it shows a number, but I don't want to see that I have 300 MB of secured traffic either! I am about to uninstall this program again for an entirely different reason if no one can tell me how to make Secure Connection shut the F up!

I have Kaspersky Internet Security 17.0.0.6.11 (m) and Secure Connection 18.0.0.405 (h)

oK is an easy task : Just open this link : https://my.kaspersky.com/support/requests/create

Sign in as advised on the screen >>Next follow steps >>Finish with brief description

of the bug : I'm affected for the bug " O B Secured traffic again..Bla-Blaa..! "

What can I do to fix it >>click [Sent request] and wait for answer

As affected user - I would like that Kaspersky post that New version link on

the KSC = Kaspersky Secure Connection - SubForum : Like they Do with the

other Antivrus >>KAV-KIS-KTS,.Etc. So everybody can download it from there

instead of ask every user to contact - Tech support - Do You agree guys,.?

Hi EJ,

Kaspersky Secure Connection: creates/installs an ethernet device, Kaspersky Security Data Escort Adapter [Kaspersky Security Data Escort Provider]

Uninstalling Kaspersky Secure Connection doesn't remove this device.

Disabled Kaspersky Security Data Escort Adapter device (permanently) - all problems that had affected my network from the unwanted install of Kaspersky Secure Connection stopped.

Starting point:
Settings\Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
Right click on the device, select [Properties]
Confirm the [Connect using] is Kaspersky Security Data Escort Adapter
Cancel & return to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections, devices
Right click & select [Disable]

*****************************************

I hope this helps.

Cheers.

Ethernet device, select properties to check it is Kaspersky Security Data Escort Adapter [device].png

I keep getting a pop up from KIS  that tells me that "you have 0 B of secure data again" ......... does anyone know how to stop it? I already have notifications turned off.

This happens several times a day and is very annoying when I'm watching films etc.

Same here and I have a desktop and laptop side by side at my desk and constantly get this message along with a Windows notification chime noise which is very annoying. I tried going to the Settings screen, Additional and  clicking on Notifications. Everything is off, nothing checked at all but I still get the notifications. I am running the most current versions of Windows 10 Home and Chrome as my browser.

I got a 2 year license and if I can't stop this intrusion I will go get another program and remove this one.

I know how to stop this Russian meddling with our computers:

Control Panel > Programs. Highlight Kaspersky, then Uninstall a program.  Voila!  problem gone.  No more Russian meddling.

Wow that's SO funny!  Some of us actually come here thinking we could get some support, didn't know it was a comedy workshop!

I notice there are about 20+ postings in Kaspersky Secure Connection forum on a very similar topic, see : https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?/topic/396983-0-b-message-merged/&

At the end of page 4 there is a claimed solution.

I do not use KSN, as when I did (inadvertently!) and then used GMail web mail  I got a load of messages from Google suggesting that I'd been hacked.

I reinstalled KIS 19 minus KSN. - if you can't click it you can't use it.

@KilleryHinton Keep 'politics' out of AV please.

Well, I’m not at all computer-savvy, so it was not “an easy task,” Indio. When you click on the link you provided and select the operating system you use, you then select (from MANY options) your “Application and system info,” which you may not know if someone else got it for you. Then you have to identify the application version as either 18.0.0.0.405 or “other application versions.” I had no clue, so just chose the one shown. Then you must select the type and subtype of request. I chose (“I have an issue with some protection components,” with subtype “some protection components are corrupted” as the most appropriate). For the problem description I just copied and pasted Heidi’s initial complaint, which I pointed out was made on JUNE 27 (that’s approaching two weeks ago!). Here it is in case you want to copy it: I keep getting a message from Kaspersky that states "You have 0 B secured traffic again" and than says "Protect your data against interception on the internet, hide your real location".  When I click on the message it just goes away and than pops up again in about half an hour.  I couldn't find any info about it on the Kasperky Total Security app.  Any idea how I fix this?

Kasperky’s people are either indifferent to their user needs or suffer from “the curse of knowledge,” whereby they don’t grasp that many of us don’t know their operation at all and don’t care; we just expect our money to get us a prompt response to any problems we may encounter – ESPECIALLY WHEN KASPERSKY ITSELF HAS CREATED THE PROBLEM! I received a prompt interim response to acknowledge receipt of my request, but it has been an hour now, and I’m still awaiting an answer. I will share it.

Well, I got the reply below this morning, but I don't plan to go through all the steps to uninstall Kaspersky Secure Connection and reinstall a later version (at least not yet), because the annoying message hasn't appeared this morning. Since it disappeared in the past only to return, I will wait and see.

Hopefully someone can tell me what this means........

I periodically get a pop up box in the lower right hand bottom of my screen that says "You have 0 B of secured traffic"

Can anyone tell me what the significance of this message is?

Thank you in advance!
