Dashlane has been detected in Software Cleaner, why can't it be uninstalled?

Recommended Posts

Hi there. I'm new to this forum and am writing for the sole purpose of finding out what exactly Dashlane is and why it can't be uninstalled by Kaspersky Software Cleaner. Apparently, the application has been "Installed together with another application" and "Slows down computer startup". When I click Details, I am greeted with the message "Unable to remove this application". Naturally, I attempted to uninstall Dashlane myself. However, the application is nowhere to be found within control panel's uninstall a or change a program list and I can't find it from the Start Window. Does anyone have any idea what his application is and why I can't find where it is located? I don't want to press ignore as I would like to identify it before disregarding it as safe. Thanks a bunch.

Hello Matt! You can find more information about Dashlane on our website https://www.dashlane.com/ but, in a few words, it's a password manager. In your specific case, the best way to cleanly uninstall Dashlane might be actually reinstalling it from our website https://www.dashlane.com/download and then going to the control panel to uninstall it properly. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly if you encounter any issue!
