KES10 failed to install from console or locally

Recommended Posts

Pushing Kaspersky 10 (KES10 10.3.0.6294 and Network Agent 10.3.343) failed to install. Also, tried to install locally with run as administrator.

Is there anything other that a GSI report that would help  you with this?

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi,

Please download a KSC desitributive from support.kaspersky.com, extract a new Network agent package and install it locally or remotely.

Please inform us about result. If installation will fail again please provide us with new installation logs or with new GSI report.

Also please clarify is it possible to uninstall McAfee Agent and RSD sensor.

Thank you!

I have downloaded kes10winsp2_mr1_en_aes256.exe; as of right now we are not using encryption. will I be able to not choose the encryption?

Is there a different distributive I should have downloaded or do you  have the exact link?

Paul

Hi,

Yes, you can choose components you`d like to install.

Please notice, that Network agent is a part of KSC, not KES. So you have to download KSC distributive.

Thank you!

Hello I have downloaded a KSC distributive and the agent installed failed when it got to the registering part; with the error 0x54F. The new GSI and log files can be found here:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1CYI-5STgZ94G2_LPDCp7Ghe0mxRmUyjp

I wasn't sure what log files would be useful to you so I Rar'ed the Kaspersky Lab folder that was created during the agent install.

Also, the McAfee Rouge Sensor was removed and a McAfee Removal Tool was used to clean up the agent and VSE uninstalls.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hi @Evgeny_E,

Thanks a lot for your help.

We're using KES package that has an option to uninstall any incompatible software, is the anything similar that we could employ when installing Network Agent?

Unfortunately, the agent still fails to install after running McAfee removal and confirming the driver Evgeniy pointed to isn't running anymore.

C:\Windows\system32\drivers\mfeapfk.sys

Kaspersky Endpoint Secuirity 10 does install just fine, it is only a problem with the agent.

Would appreciate any ideas on how to proceed with troubleshooting. The installation log for klnagent still returns "Kaspersky Security Center 10 Network Agent (10.4.343): Remote installation has been completed with an error on this device: Fatal error during installation." when initiated remotely and the same "Fatal error" can be found in installation log when attempting to install the agent locally.

Cleaner was ran per the docs instructions and the agent install still failed. Cleaner logs submitted.

The displayed error could also be caused by a corrupted crypto storage on the host. Please use the attached utility and try installing again after that.

Note that this file should only be run on a particular computer from the topic start, and is not a remedy for any similar issues.

Thank you.

Hi,

Please run the utility with admin privileges and the following command line parameters klcryptstgclean -tl 4 -tf $klcryptstgclean_trace.txt -l klcryptstgclean.log.

After that please run installation once again.

If it fails again please provide us with new installation logs and klcryptstgclean utility logs.

Thank you!
