Hello,

does the "battery  widget" just show an assumption about battery capacity ?

Did you try to stay idle laptop and count battery endurance before and after KES ?

Thank you.

No, task was running still we are facing the same issue.

Hello.

Please describe how measurements were taken. Note that estimated battery life in Windows is calculated based on recent system activity, and does not necessarily reflect ongoing load.

Applications and drivers do not affect battery life directly. Please let us know if KES displays any unusual consumption of resoures during idle state, provide screenshots if possible. Make sure that no tasks are running, no encryption is being applied etc. beforehand.

Thank you.

hi,

Postponed schedule tasks while running on battery power

2.)Concede resources to other application.

3.) Enabled perform idle scan.

still battery consumption on the higher side.

where as McAfee & Symantec are taking lesser battery consumption.

because customer have same laptop in different network where McAfee & Symantec installed . On those laptop everything is normal. Only Kaspersky installed laptop's having battery drainage issue. McAfee & Symantec both have provided private fix for this issue. Why not Kaspersky is providing the same. Because customer uses always laptop,s in battery mode. When charge gets discharge then only it is connected to power. Again when battery is charged to 100%, again user starts to use in battery mode unless it drained out. Kindly provide a permanent fix for this issue. It's a special requirement for the customer. Kindly do the needful.

As mentioned earlier, estimated battery life in Windows is a subjective value. Please let us know whether KES consumes abnormal amounts of CPU or RAM on laptops, or displays similar incorrect behavior. Otherwise you can configure laptops to use less resource consuming components, like Application Startup Control.

Thank you.

It's up to the customer to device which of the components they do not use, and how to configure their KES.

If they don't use some of the components, please advise that they disable them, or do not install them.

Thank you.

I don't see how Kaspersky could cause the battery issue as described. On a laptop you have to have (1) high CPU  (2)no screen saver (3) Hard drive not sleeping (4) fan constantly running, etc to consume power. Battery doesn't magically discharge. Something has to consume power. Kaspersky can't consume power if AVP.EXE is sitting at zero CPU. If Kaspersky  avp.exe is high CPU then you may need to exclude something. But you have to do more research on your end. You should look at the laptops to see what is different. Also, having worked with McAfee for years, I doubt they just willy-nilly give out private fixes. It takes them forever to find a fix for anything. So that private fix story sounds a little fishy.
