Kaspersky Version 2016 is old.

Please see the second pinned topic for instructions to download and install Kaspersky version 2018.

Uninstall Kaspersky version 2017 > reboot, then install Kaspersky version 2018.

After you install Kaspersky version 2018, activate with your current activation code > do a databases update > reboot.

Any better with the current version?

Why would you want to stay on an old version, when upgrading to improved protection with 2018 which is free by the way, would have probably fixed your issue.

Hi Dartz hmm so sad to hear this (ff extension dont work). If you mean remove Kaspersky protection icon from ff then you can open registry editor regedit.exe and find this string " light_firefox_plugin " be aware look at correct path (where is Kaspersky installed) and remove all these strings restart comp and Kaspersky extension icon dissapeared from ff.

Hi as well,,,,,

To get the Kaspersky protection plugin back in Firefox you need to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2018 like instructed by "richbluff" and other Kaspersky helpers.

There is no issues updating from 2016 to 2018 version.

You can upgrade in thirty minutes if you do it from your My Kaspersky Portal.

You always need latest version to be protected with all devices and apps installed.

Its that simple just follow instructions and your plugin will appear again.

but the extension/plugin from the old version shouldn't disappear with no motivation and since i tried to reinstall it should appear again but only icon showed up , and if i'm not mistaken kaspersky internet security 2016 is still supported , i've read many user at moment had problrm on 2018 ( and i can't install it on my service pack 1 like i said time ago ) and some users on 2017 too had problems , thats why for now i prefer stuck with 2016 and since supported i hoped all worked fine extension included...btw seems delete the icon is hard with regedit too...
