KasperskyLab Product Remover

Recommended Posts

Hello,

old versions of the kavremvr could remove the kaspersky product without any user name and password.

unfortunately the current versions need to enter username and password , if we had the username and password , we didn't need to use the removal product!!!!

so could you please tell us that what is the need of kavremvr ??!!

BR,

Fernando

Hi,

Цитата

This utility is designed to clean remains of KES if something goes wrong. Please notice, that is not related to forgotten password. To restore the password one should use klmover utility to apply a policy and change a password.

Hi,

it would be better to eliminate the password prompt when using KAV remover just like the old versions.

we used to use the app a lot , but now we do not see any reason to use this app.

thank you for your response.

Fernando

Hello,

Sorry, it's misunderstanding.

Kavremover always asks credentials if KL product is password-protected.

It has been by design.

Nothing was changed in kavremover's behavior.

Thank you.

as I experienced a lot , old versions could remove the password protected KES's.

I remember we had problem with the user name and password , we used KAV remover to remove the product.

BR,

The article exists for years without editions.

Many old version are mentioned : Network Agent version 10 or Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 / 10 CF1 / 10 SP1 MR2

Did you launch kavremover in safe mode ?

Thank you.

there is no need for safemode.

here you can download the attach file and remove your agent and KES 10.2.4.674 , 10.2.2.10535 , 10.2.1.23 , ......  password protected without any password!!!!

https://www.dropbox.com/s/3wwlya4waq082pb/Kavremover 1.0.995.zip?dl=0

how do you say that?

BR,

We tried to uninstall password-protected agent 10.4.343 by kavremover which you attached.

Kavremover is unable to remove agent.

Please attach video of the following scenario:

1. attempt to uninstall KL product via "Control Panel"

2. Uninstallation wizard asks password.

3. you cancel uninstalltion

4. you launch kavremover

5. kavremover does its job successfully.

Thank you.

I disagree with eliminating the password protection. I have users that don't like having any antivirus on their computer and will remove it if they can. Eliminating the password prompt like you're suggesting would make it easy for them to remove KES and expose their computer and the rest of the network to malware.

hello glabrador ,

actually its hard for users to find AV remover from the website.

they don't have enough IT knowledge to find and execute it.

more over on domain environment , users shouldn't have access to execute executable files.if they don't have access , then they cannot remove the KES!!!

Fernando
