windows vista to 7 upgrade

5 posts in this topic

I was informed via internet research that to get beyond "searching for installation updates" I should suspend my security ie. Kaspersky service until windows 7 has been installed. If I should do this how can it be done?

Welcome. Before upgrading from Vista to W7 please uninstall Kaspersky.

When the update is completed please disable Windows Defender + reboot and reinstall Kaspersky.

Please try this :

> Type "MSCONFIG" in the search box and press enter
> Disable WD in "Startup"
> Disable WD in "Services"
