As I showed in screen shot earlier there are no drivers in drivers folder. This is all that shows in there for any file starting with K

The remover ran through without issue and said completed and to reboot.

All is being done locally.

Could you please provide us with a screenshot of "net stop klif.sys" output?

Please run it using cmd with administrator privelegies.

The GSI log keeps showing that KES drivers are running despite actually having been deleted. However, this may not be the root cause of the failure.

Please specify if Windows Defender on the host is being disabled using GPO, and whether only one computer is affected by this issue.

Yes Defender is disabled and we have 4 systems with this issue.

Yes it was. I have done everything you wanted me to do the way you wanted it done. Am I at the highest support level here? I got 4 system that does this. I am surprised no other company has never had this issue.

Hi,

To fix the issue please make sure that Windows defender is running. Please re-configure GPO if necessary.

Once Windows defender is running start KES installation once again.

Please inform us about result.

I Think it is not a Kaspersky problem. Long ago my colleague got the same issue but they tried this method here and they told me that the issue is regarding about my
directories.

try to reset the junction point of this folder c:\programData in cmd

cd c:\ProgramData
rd "Application Data" /Q
mklink /J "Application Data" "C:\ProgramData"

It might work but try to gave it a shot, we will see what will happen next.

According to our R`n`D team you have to contact MS support to get rid of "Error 0x80004005"(up to log: "DisableWindowsDefender:  Failed to access local group policy. Error 0x80004005.")

Wow Finally got it. Replaced the gpt.ini in c:\windows\system32\grouppolicy folder and rebooted. Now it installed.
