CD/DVD Device Control Popups Since SP2 Upgrade [In progress]

4 posts in this topic

Since installing KES 10.3.0.6294 users under a policy with CD/DVD devices disabled keep getting the Device Control popup every 30 seconds or so. Under previous versions their CD/DVD drives were simply not displayed under Computer in Windows. With the new version, the CD/DVDs are shown and they're getting the popup.

Is this a bug or, if not, is there a way to get back to the old behavior?

Hi,

Could you please provide us with a screenshot of that popup?

Please provide us with an export of KES settings or active policy and with KES report that shows that events.

Thank you!

Here is the screenshot of the Device Control popup and the policy. We had disabled logging of the device control events because there are several Dell inkjet printers attached to computers on our network that have integrated memory card hubs that were triggering the device control policy and filling up the logs and spamming email alerts. I have attached one of the device blockage user requests which details one of the DVDs being blocked.

Hi,

Could you please provide GSI report with included Event logs.
