LIMITATIONS AND KNOWN ISSUES

• On some Samsung devices running Android 4.4, the data entry language cannot be changed on the standard Samsung keyboard layout if Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android has not been set as an Accessibility service (this defect was confirmed on Galaxy Tab 3, S4 mini).

• Prohibited websites may remain unblocked in Google Chrome 50 (or any earlier version) if the website has been opened from the results page of a Google search request while the Merge Tabs and Apps feature is enabled in the browser settings. The issue is caused by a well-known defect in Google Chrome: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=579400.

• Prohibited websites may remain unblocked on devices running Android 6.0 with Google Chrome 51 (or any earlier version) installed if the user opens such websites using any of the following methods: from search results; from the list of tabs; from the search history; when using the autocomplete function in the address bar; when tapping Open Link in New Tab in Google Chrome. The issue is caused by a well-known defect in Google Chrome: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=579400.

• Prohibited websites may remain unblocked on devices running Android 4.3 with Google Chrome 51 (or any earlier version) installed if the user opens such websites by tapping Open Link in New Tab in Google Chrome. The issue is caused by a well-known defect in Google Chrome: https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=582951.

• On some Nexus devices running Android 6.0.1, the privileges required for the proper operation cannot be granted through the Quick Start Wizard of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android. This issue arises due to a known defect in Security Patch for Android by Google: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=213120. For the proper operation, required privileges must be granted in the device settings (this defect was confirmed on Nexus 5, 5X, 6P, and 7).

• App containerization is not supported on Android devices for apps that contain more than 65,536 methods (multidex configuration).

• The message on an invalid license format may be recorded in the Kaspersky Security Center event log when synchronizing Kaspersky SMS Broadcasting Utility with the Kaspersky Security Center server. This message does not affect the Kaspersky SMS Broadcasting Utility performance.

• After executing Anti-Theft commands (such as Locate, Device Lock, Unlock, and Mugshot), the general certificate and the VPN certificate may be deleted on some Samsung mobile devices running Android 4.4 or later (this error has been confirmed on Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy S6, and Samsung Note 4). The certificates have to be reinstalled to continue. This issue occurs due to the MDFPP (Mobile Device Fundamentals Protection Profile) security standard.

• Support of advanced KNOX features is only available on Samsung devices running Android 4.2 or later.

• Anti-Theft functionality is not available on Samsung S3 Neo GT-I9310(х) mobile devices running the Android 4.4.2 operating system. The issue is caused by a well-known defect in Samsung system software.

• On some Huawei devices running Android 5.x, after Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android is set as an Accessibility service there is a warning about the lack of appropriate rights. To get rid of this warning, enable the app as a protected app (Settings > Advanced settings > Battery manager > Protected apps).

• Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android on devices running Android 7.0 or later does not support multi-window mode.

• On devices running Android 7.0 or later, in energy saving mode (Doze) some scheduled tasks such as database update or synchronization may be performed with a delay. Such tasks will be automatically performed after exiting energy saving mode.

• On some Huawei devices running Android 5.x and 6.х, when the "Run when screen is shut down" feature is enabled for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android, the user can terminate the app on his or her own. The user device becomes unprotected after that. This issue is due to some features of Huawei software. To restore the device protection, run Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android manually. We recommend that you disable the "Run when screen is shut down" feature for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android (Settings > Apps > Kaspersky Endpoint Security > Battery > Run when screen is shut down).

• On devices running Android 7.1.1, if the camera is locked by the Kaspersky Security Center policy, the system returns an error message instead of the message from Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android at every attempt to turn on the camera. The camera remains inaccessible at that. The issue is caused by a well-known defect in Android 7.1.1: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=226544.

• On devices running Android 7.1.1, if the unlock password does not meet the corporate security requirements (Compliance Control), the Settings system app may function improperly when the unlock password is attempted to change through Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android. The issue is caused by a well-known defect in Android 7.1.1: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/de...p;ts=1477900893. In this case, to change the unlock password, use the Settings system app only.

• On devices running Android 7.0 or later, the configuration window for the virus scan run schedule might be incorrectly displayed (management elements are not shown). This issue is caused by a well-known defect in Android 7 (https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=201766).

• On devices running Android 7.0, an error may occur when attempting to disable administrator rights for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android in device settings if Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android is prohibited from overlaying on other windows. This issue is caused by a well-known defect in Android 7 (https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=196967&q=SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW&colspec=ID%20Status%20Priority%20Owner%20Summary%20Stars%20Reporter%20Opened).

• Kaspersky Security 10 for Mobile can only be installed in the main memory of a device.
