Welcome. Topic was moved, due to instructions here: https://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=219110

Please clear the contents of your Temp folder, instructions: http://support.kaspersky.com/1161 and then restart the computer.

Please clear content of the Temp folder located at: C:\Windows\Temp\ and then restart the computer.

I see an Error 5 entry in your event viewer.

Error 5 is a Permissions issue.

Uninstall Kaspersky applications > reboot, then follow the five steps below, then install the current versions > reboot.

1. Please log into Windows as Administrator,

2. then temporarily disable UAC,

3. then download the Kaspersky installer and right click it > Properties > Unblock > Apply > ok.

3. Disable Windows Defender,

5. then right click the Kaspersky installer and Run as Administrator.

Any better?

Re enable UAC when done.

Thank you for the info I followed the steps above and I get the same error. I'm unable to uninstall or install 2017 version. The 2016 version on the system now when I start it and click on any options it does not open the option and the point does not change to allow clicks. The only thing that has changed is Microsoft kicked off Windows 10 install and it fail and restored back to Windows 7.
