Recommended Posts

Dear Friends,

Kaspersky Lab is announcing the release of beta version of patch "E" for Kaspersky Security Center (version 10.2.434.e).

Testing is scheduled for 31.03.2016 - 15.04.2016

Patch "e" includes the following:

Patch for Administration Console (patch_10_2_434_console_e.zip) that must be installed on a computer with Administration Console installed without Administration Server.

Patch for Network Agent (patch_10_2_434_nagent_e.zip) that must be installed on a managed computer with Network Agent installed separately, without Administration Server.

Patch for Administration Server (patch_10_2_434_server_e.zip) that must be installed on the computer assigned to act as Administration Server. This component includes patches for Administration Console and Network Agent.

Patch "e" is cumulative and includes all of the fixes from patches "a", "b", "c", and "d".

Warning! After you install patch "e", the version ID of some of the files changes to 10.2.2019 while the version ID displayed in Administration Console remains specified as 10.2.434.

Fixes included in patch "e":

1363976 The curl version has been upgraded to 7.45.0. The issue with DIGEST-MD5 authentication in curl has been resolved.

1363975 The error that had been causing the use of SMTPS in case if port 465 was specified for the SMTP server, has been fixed.

1329768 The error that, in some cases, had been causing the Administration Console to crash after taking some actions on the list of executable files, has been fixed.

1337483 The error that had been causing the Administration Console to crash sometimes, has been fixed.

1565451 The error that had been causing some reports to fail to open sometimes, has been fixed.

1572138 The error that had been causing Network Agent to fail to connect to the Administration Server under the "Do not disconnect" check box selected and when using a connection gateway, has been fixed.

1572131 The error that had been causing Administration Server to crash, has been fixed.

1327612 The speed of inbound connection processing has been increased.

1315789 The error of update retrieval when upgrading Kaspersky Security Center from 10 Maintenance Release 1 patch "f" to 10 Service Pack 1 has been fixed.

1304471 The error that had been causing the Administration Console to fail to connect to Network Agents for OS X 8.5, has been fixed.

1294969 The error that had been causing Administration Server to crash under a network load, has been fixed.

1276172 The error of data display in the update agent report has been fixed.

1572059 The error that had been causing Administration Server to freeze, has been fixed.

1572537 The check of VAPM (VLNS3) databases for incorrect status has been added, which has excluded the possibility of creating a process dump due to an extremely large memory usage when creating chains of patches.

1572063 The error that had been causing the administrator to fail to create a task on a slave Administration Server if the Administration Console had not been connected to this slave Administration Server directly but via the master Administration Server, has been fixed. This error originated from configurations where the master Administration Server was of 10 Service Pack 1 version, while the slave Administration Server was of 10 Maintenance Release 1 version.

1286341 The error that had been causing a task to fail to run on a computer in the computer properties, has been fixed.

1564587 The error of message export to an ArcSight system has been fixed. If a message contained a line feed character, the message text after that character was lost on the ArcSight system side.

1301537 The error that had been occurring when the administrator connected to a remote computer using shared desktop access, has been fixed. The window, which prompted to share access on a remote desktop, contained an invalid name of the user who requested access.

1251817 The error that had been causing the creation of a virtual Administration Server to take too much time, has been fixed. The Administration Console terminated the connection with Administration Server without waiting for the virtual Administration Server is created.

1296854 The error that had been causing Network Agent to crash, has been fixed.

1572002 The error that had been occurring when creating a remote uninstallation task, has been fixed.

1570554 The error that had been causing the Administration Console to display an incorrect operating system version for computers running Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012, has been fixed.

1268555 The error that had been causing an empty administration group to fail to be deleted if an attempt had been made to add computers to that group with the Add command, has been fixed.

1331999 The error that had been causing the Network Agent inoperability after upgrading Windows 8 (or earlier) to Windows 10, has been fixed.

1305761 The error that had been causing policies to be possibly incorrectly applied on computers if those policies had affected each other according to the administration group hierarchy, has been fixed.

1268778 The error that had been causing policies to be applied very slowly on computers and to condition a high CPU load in the MySQL process when using MySQL, if those policies had affected each other according to the administration group hierarchy, has been fixed.

1323160 The error that had been sometimes causing a false detection of a hard drive duplication and the creation of a new icon for the same computer after updating Network Agent, has been fixed.

1590467 The error that had been occurring when any Kaspersky Lab patches with End User License Agreements were applicable to managed computers, has been fixed. After accepting the End User License Agreements, the main window of the Administration Console still kept on showing a message, which prompted for accepting the End User License Agreements for the Kaspersky Lab patches.

1575613 The amount of time needed for the first start of the Administration Server service after installing patches or new Administration Server versions under a large number of events in the database, has been reduced.

1567835 The diagnostics of the results of the vulnerability fix and application update installation task have been improved.  Previously, if no End User License Agreement had been accepted for a Windows upgrade (or if an End User License Agreement had failed to be downloaded on the Administration Server, or if the upgrade had been installed in interactive mode), no related message appeared in the task history if only such updates had been installed during the task performance, so the task was complete without a description.

1365575 The error that had been sometimes causing the versions of the anti-virus databases of a slave Administration Server to differ in reports of that slave Administration Server and reports of the master Administration Server, has been fixed.

1567734 The error that had been causing a patch to fail to be displayed as applicable and installed after its installation if you had performed a rollback to an older application version, has been fixed.

1567714 The number of single-type messages in Kaspersky Event Log has been reduced for messages that were returned on attempts to transmit information about events occurred when the Administration Server connection was interrupted for a long time.

1321785 The error that had been occurring when relaying the Windows update installation task with specially selected updates on a slave Administration Server where the database contained no such updates, has been fixed. All applicable Microsoft updates were installed due to an error on managed computers of that Administration Server.

1313335 The error of the display of Microsoft Windows updates that are applicable to a computer, has been fixed. If an older revision of an update was recognized by Administration Server as applicable to a managed computer but was not installed, this older revision might still be displayed by the Administration Console as applicable to the computer after installation of a new revision.

1304560 The load on the SQL server when using Kaspersky Security Center as the WSUS for managed computers running Windows 8, has been reduced.

1600498 The error that had been sometimes causing the report on the versions of anti-virus databases to contain incorrect details of the up-to-date statuses of databases of some applications, has been fixed.

1620841 The 5 code error that had been occurring when performing the "Windows Updates installation" task, has been fixed.

1612280 The Administration Console crash on computers running Windows 10 (64-bit) has been fixed. This error occurred when selecting Files/Settings in the Administration Console menu.

1611759 The error that had been occurring when performing the task of downloading updates to the repository, has been fixed. This error occurred when the update scan option was enabled in the task properties.

1620660 The error that had been causing a KES device to fail to connect to the Administration Server if the device certificate had expired, has been fixed.

1607993 The error that had been causing a KES device to fail to connect to the Administration Server via a connection gateway, has been fixed.

1613758 The error of the display of the End User License Agreement for Windows 10 has been fixed.
