KES 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 2 for Windows Issues [In progress]

13 posts in this topic

Dear Admins,

I am in a big trouble before 3 days back i have faced that my clients are automatically upgraded on new client "Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 Service Pack 1 Maintenance Release 2 for Windows". even though i have not checked marked "automatic installation of kaspersky lap update".

my 90 systems are on this module. after that i have integrate latest module in my KSC management console with ksc update and made policies as per my requirement but now currently facing that Application protected password is not working on all clients.

1) Can you tell me why this new upgrade install automatically - is there any setting left to set in KSC console

2) Password protection policy is not working on clients

3 snapshot attached for your view. please look into this and revert.

I will be very thankful to you.

Regards,

Tanveer Hussain

Hello.

MR2 is an autopatch that installs in KES automatically. If you manage your updates via KSC, you have to have accepted the license agreement in order for the update to deploy.

You can find more information in this article.

Please specify the behavior you get with password protection. What is the setting in the policy and exactly happens on KES clients?

Thank you.

I have already attached the snapshot of KSC level policy and also attached the snapshot of client.

For your information:

1) I disable the password to implement on client but on client still asking the password.

2) I applied Inheritance without inheritance and force inheritance to child but have the same result that client still popping for password.

due to this i unable to exit or uninstall kaspersky on clients because password is not accepting what i set in KSC panel.

please guide / help for getting out of this situation.

regards,

There's a bug on the implementation of the new username in the password protection setting.

The default user is KLAdmin. If you change it to something else, some machines recognize the new user while others won't, even if you are sure that the policy has been updated in the client.

So try uninstalling again and if you changed the username, try using KLAdmin to see if it works.

I didn't change any username. i used with default id KLAdmin and set password but not working with clients. I unchecked the password protection but client still popping the user id and password window.

I don't understand the new updated kit this sort of issues. what is the reliability of the well know product like kaspersky.

Hi,

Please specify password in the KES policy with login and password and use it for uninstallation.

I already tried it but not working.

Hi,

Could you please create new group in Managed computers, then move one of the problem computers to that group and create policy without inheritance. On the problem computer reconnect nagent to the server.

Thank you!
