Unlock ciphered HD failed [In progress]

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Have an issue with FDE...

Yesterday I tried to access my computer with the same password I've used.

The result was a "domain, user / password" error.

I tried to recover or change my password with the pba function (generating the 5 strings, connecting to KSC, I got the 7 string back)

The result was

"Internal PBA error.

Function: pba::QtViewImpl::OnGotoChangePasswordAfterRecovery

Line: 712

res:fffffff8000005a(invalid signature)"

After 5 or 6 attempts, I unmounted my laptop HD and mounted in another PC according http://support.kaspersky.com/9758

I open KES on my computer and click support and then Restore encrypted device.

I select the device and do a scan. I get the message Device diagnostics completed succesfully.

Then I click Unlock in the right corner.

Have tried with my password and the result is 0x8000005A

So, I choose for: Specify device acces key manually. Click Receive access key.

Save the key to my desktop.

Now I am going to the KSC console and go to: Data encryption an protection --> Encrypted devices.

Here I choose the right hdd: Right click and choose: Get access key top specified encrypted device (service pack1)

Now I browse to my desktop and load the ????.fdertc file.

Then I save the ????.fdertr file to my desktop.

And load it in: Step 2. Download the encrypted device acces key file received from the LAN administrator.

So far so good. Get the massage from Encrypted Device Restore Utility: Encrypted device acces key file processed successfully. You can now unlock or decrypt the device.

But after applying access to decrypt device I get the message: Failed to unlock ecrypted device. Error: 0x8000005A

Have uploaded the log result.... (in Spanish)

I already have an open ticket in CompanyAccount INC000005200810

Please, I'm a little worried for the info saved in my HD

My Kaspersky info is

KES 10 SP1 v 10.2.2.10535

NetAgent 10.2.434

AES (256 bits) 1.0.2.1068

KSC 10.2.434

Best regards,

Unfortunately, these actions violated an operation of the product, this is an unsupported scenario.

Thank you!

If you stop the program in the moment of the disk decryption, and then reboot the computer, these actions cause critical errors that we do not support.

Thank you!

Hello.

You had improperly terminated decryption process.
That means encrypted data are damaged, and your best option is to restore from backup.
