Kaspersky interferes with wifi connection [INC000007583520]

We have a group of Lenovo laptops (various models) with Windows 7. We have installed on them is Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows and Kaspersky Security Center Network Agent.

If we have an Ethernet cable plugged into the laptops and use the network and Internet, we have no issues. When we use the wifi on the laptops instead, there is an interference with the network connection and the laptop becomes

very slow. If we disable Kaspersky, then the wifi works as normal. Why would Kaspersky be interfering with the wifi connection on the laptops? Thanks in advance. :)

could you explain exactly what happens with WI-FI connection? Or what happens with laptop performance? What do you mean "interference"?

After windows logon, the wifi connects for a period of time, then disconnects. You cannot reconnect back to the wifi in any way, shape or form unless you restart the laptop again.

If Kaspersky is disabled, the laptop never disconnects and will stay connected to the wifi.

Yes. After the user is logged into the laptop, the users were turning off their Kaspersky so that they wouldn't disconnect from the wifi. Thank you.

I meant turning off protection components one by one such as file antivirus, system watcher, firewall etc but not turning the antivirus itself off instead.

Dear Support Team,

 

one of my client using kaspersky endpoint security is facing the similar situation with WiFi. Turning Kaspersky off resolves the connectivity issue.

here is the detail: win 7 Laptops with KES 10

 

when wifi is restarted(AP restarts due to power outage) laptop's wifi is gone , never connects automatically and wifi is disabled. exiting KES resolves this issue.

please disable all KES components and enable them one-by-one in order to distinguish the guilty one.

Tried to disable component and enable one by one but no success be coz Wifi issue is not permanent it is an intermittently issue coming in a day or two.

 

but after uninstall KES there is no issue for weeks

Please describe what the issue is and the scenario to reproduce it. The issue described by the topic starter relates to a very different version of KES.
