KPM keeps crashing under windows 8.1

To those who may wish to know or have had similar problems with the GUI interface crashing when accessing the Web section of KPM 7 (doesnt occur with the Apps, Identities or Notes sections) and also with KPM going into a permanent "synchronizing" state and who also run KIS2014. I have managed to get KPM 7 to work as follows by uninstalling KPM and KIS2014 and then perform a clean install of both.

 

The detailed steps were

1. de-install KPM

2. remove KPM database and folder to ensure it is rebuilt from the Kaspersky Protection Centre (this is because i know that the same DB works OK on my android and iOS devices)

3. de-install KIS 2014

4. reboot windows

5. install KIS 2014

6. install switch off automatic updating in KIS2014, so running at 14.0.0.4651 (B)

7. install KPM from scratch

8. test KPM, seems to work 100% OK, at least the error has not re-occured

9. update KIS2014

10. test KPM, seems to work 100% OK, at least the error has not re-occured

11. reboot windows to install KIS patch D, now running at 14.0.0.4651 (d)

12. test KPM, seems to work 100% OK, at least the error has not re-occured

 

I also have a ticket open with support on this, so i wait with bated breath to seem what they make of this.
