PURE 3.0 recommends ignore virus

11 posts in this topic

Hello,

My friend on Facebook liked a picture on a different site, and I clicked on it, not knowing that it contained virus. I usually don't do this, but it happened lol.

Anyway, I got Virus.DOS.Nuke.Deadpool and it recommended it ignore it. The virus is in the DataStore.ebd file but it is quarantined so I guess it's not dangerous?

I'm going to be gone for a month now, so is it safe to leave my computer like this? How can I remove the virus and should I freak out haha?

Got a HP computer Pavilion g6, if that helps in any way.

Thanks

Hello,

The file " DataStore.edb " is a file of database which contains the history of the updates of Windows.

It is modified every time there is updated.

I looked at your GSI, you should clean "C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Local\Temp"

After, post a new GSI Please

I managed to delete all of the files except for FXSAPIDebugLogFile.txt, and its 0 bytes anyway, I think its for fax. It said it was open so I could not delete it, but I guess its not a big problem no?

That's normal, nothing to worry about.

Your Computer…It's good.

It will be necessary to make an update of Windows, check the presence of “DataBase.edb” and then, launch a scan of your machine…

Good Evening,… at tomorrow ;)

Also,

If similar or same issue happens again:

Please post the full, complete detection details. Post screenshot of Reports > Detailed Report > Detected threats.

Right click the Detected bar, and insure Path is selected. Right click the Detected bar again and insure File is selected.

Then post the screenshot with columns widened to show full detected and name and object and path/location details.

How to take and post screenshot: PrtSc (Print screen) key (upper right part of keyboard)> open Paint (Start > All programs > Accessories) > Edit > Paste, File > Save as (jpeg or

png, Not bmp). When replying, Browse > click once to select file > Open > Upload > add reply.

And if it looks like it may be a false positive:

Please send full detection details to the Lab, instructions are located in point 1 of the third important topic located near the top of the Virus section of this forum. And here:
