Please make sure in-place upgrade from kav6 and kes8 is tested and works well. You always advertise that it can be done but installing over an older version has not worked well for me in the past. I have about 19,000 devices and having to remove the old client first before I can install the new one creates additional work and a lot of time wasted.

I agree with glabrador. I have been holding off on upgrading from 8.1.0.646 for a long time. I want to be at the latest version, but don't want to spend weeks ironing out bugs. Apparently, I've avoided several 'mini-disaster' events by simply staying on an older version. The whole situation with the multiple policies for KES8 vs KES10 clients, plus the recommendation to re-install KSC from scratch......I hate over-simplified products as much as the next person, but guys...this all should be a little bit easier.

Add I would request that the documentation be more clear and in one location....it seems I am always piecing together things from multiple sources/locations to get the 'big picture' and the latest info. KB articles are nice, but how are we supposed to be alerted to their presence? Perhaps an alerting system that can only send email alerts based on the VERSION and TYPE of software we own? Perhaps add that to CompanyAccount?

Thank you for your time.

I would like to see some extra tools built into the right-click options, such as shutdown, restart, force logoff, ping, test for logged-in users, wol, etc. Many of these I have configured manually using the "Custom Tools" right-click option in conjunction with PStools, but I think it could be done better if it were built-in.

Also, it would be nice to be able to add custom fields to machine records that would allow us to classify systems any number of ways, and make those available as sort options on the Computer list. Or perhaps be able to create folders that represent categories of machines that do NOT in any way affect which AV policies those machines operate under. I want to be able to classify some computers as "Sales", some as "Remote", some as "Marketing", and be able to dynamically add and remove computers from those categories via drag-and-drop, then execute tasks as needed for each of those groups. Exporting group lists to excel would be helpful for using these lists in other programs.

I realize these capabilities extend beyond the bounds of security, but since KSC is already a place from which I do much of my computer management, I figured I'd put it out there.

- "Not scanned for a long time" status problem

- Admin server tasks failing to run on schedule

- Self-defense blocks all remote access, despite exclusions being added

- Plugins to administrate KAV for Exchange from within KSC

- Even if plugins aren't developed, please allow KSC to download Exchange Anti-Spam definitions so they can be placed into the shared folder. We would rather not open up firewall for multiple machines to connect to Kaspersky update servers.

It seems to me that the Network Access Control (NAC) included in the System Management does not work at all. Or I am to stupid to configure it correctly. I would like to see a lab guide on how to set this up properly.

The same goes for file and device based encryption. Full disk encryption works well, but not file encryption.

We have a problem where the KES "First Start Wizard" (enter license key, scan applications) is started on every reboot.

Otherwise, keep up the good work. I like the new features.

Better communication by Kaspersky about patches/updates. Many of us have been waiting for - "Not scanned for a long time" status problem and only by reading the forum or talking to a rep via chat have I been given status updates and even these updates have been wrong. I was told a patch was coming out April then I read on the forum that someone said maybe June.

I also could never get RDP to work on 1 machine while Kaspersky was installed even after troubleshooting the problem with tech support.

Hello

Suggestions:

1) KASPERSKY SECURITY CENTER must have service Pack to fix problems like (Trend Micro OFFICESCAN) and forget Critical Fix, why ???

critical fix = hight size (>100 Mo) and new version, hard to deploy if you have many servers (KSC).

Service pack =small size ( <20 Mo) easy to install and deploy by the administrator who have 80 KSC like me :supercool: .

2) Kaspersky must integrating autoupdate module in KSC 10 to update himself instead get out Critical Fix whenever.

3) optimize connexion between Master and slaves KSC.

4) reporting in KSC 10 are lack fom infrmations infom we need more powerful reporting tools.

good luck

The word "new" was referring to the topic, not the ideas and suggestions:

"new topic where you can share your ideas, suggestions and feedback on Kaspersky Security Center 10."

Plus, "feedback" usually refers to something that already exists.

And in all actuality, having a product with less bugs WOULD be a valuable added feature. I think they have a pretty good list of features already...and should spend their time refining what already exists...and making it work flawlessly, and to provide top-notch support again. Just my $0.02 (two cents)

Also, the ability to reboot an encrypted machine to pass-thru POA screen. For remote support.

How about a simple "Back" button when creating tasks?

It already exists, it is located in the top left hand corner of the task creation wizard.

I want to see in End-Point Protection in USB can have option to log file transfered into or out of the USB device.

Also if possible to email critical alert to Admin, but the trigger should be defined by the Admin himself. It might be due to 100 infection machine, etc.

I want to see virtual version of Kaspersky software in server (vSphere) or client (VMWiew).

Have a good day.

I would like the same options to schedule all types of tasks (daily, weekly, every Nth..). In particular, the Start/Stop task type does not have these options, so I'm forced to add the start/stop tasks to another task's completion.

Thanks.

I would prefer to split some functions in password protection settings:

- stop scan and update tasks (there was only scan tasks) - both: local and group tasks

- disable protection components

For me these are different kind of protection. I would allow user to stop local and group tasks (without password), and disallow disabling protection components.

And of course as BlueRay wrote:

I want to see in End-Point Protection in USB can have option to log file transfered into or out of the USB device.

I just thought of a feature request as I was logging on to my KES server this morning.

I understand the need to restart the KES services every night, but it would be nice if the console would 'remember' which folders I had 'expanded' in the left panel, and re-expand them for me upon 'Reconnecting'. (and reset focus on the folder that I was using BEFORE the nightly services restart.)

Minor issue...only takes 5-10 seconds to re-expand....but I thought I would mention it anyway. (Probably not worth the effort or the potential problems it could cause in multi-user environments...)

cheers.

In case anyone else was interested in my second request about being able to classify computers using arbitrary tags, I just discovered that this functionality is actually already there. If you right-click any computer(s) in KSC and choose "Properties", there is a "Tags" section in the resulting window where you can add and select custom tags for those computers. Once you've defined them, you can go to Reports and Notifications --> Computer Selections and create a Computer selection based on the presence of the tags. Makes it very easy to drop machines into custom groups, and from there you can run a task on that selection.

I would like an option when i am doing a task with 10 computers for example, if it fails on 3 of them, to be able to start the task again with the remaining 3 machines.
