KIS2012, cannot enable file antivirus

3 posts in this topic

I've been running KIS2012 for years. :) I had all protections enabled. I did not use, or install, any other antivirus program.

A week or two ago my windows 7 problem center informed me that I should, "Address a problem with Bullguard Internet Security". I don't know what that is, or why it is on my computer. I cannot find any reference to any Bullguard software in my program files or by using the control panel. It's a mystery.

Now, I just was informed by KIS2012 that I do not have File Antivirus enabled. I tried: selecting the "enable" button on KIS2012 for File Antivirus does NOT enable it.

Something is blocking File Antivirus. How do I unblock it?

How do I delete software - Bullguard - which I cannot find on my computer?

Thanks,

Ken

Uninstall KIS, reboot and run this Bullgard removaltool: http://www.bullguard.com/media/278521/bg_uninstaller.zip,

1. Right-click on the archive and unzip its content on your computer.

2. Double-click on the extracted file to run it.

3. Restart the computer.

Now reinstall KIS and you should be fine again.

Don,

WOW, that was fast! KIS, FTW.

You answered while I was running the GSI tool. Here's what it came up with: http://www.getsysteminfo.com/read.php?file...fa50e74e56868f3

Now it's time for me to follow your instructions.

Thanks,

Ken
