  1. My question concerns the colored shields used to designate the safety of a website. There are supposed to be 4 colors: green for safe, grey for no info, gold for harmful and red for dangerous. I am only seeing grey shields. I have tried different browsers...chrome, edge and explorer...with the same result. Does this have anything to do with sanctions placed on Russian companies because of the war in Ukraine?
  2. Oops. That path was a typo. My KIS is running with with the default settings. I am ignoring the messages. This was the response received from Technical Support: Dear customer, Thank you for contacting Kaspersky Technical Support. My name is [removed] and I'll be happy to assist you on this ticket. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. Based on the screenshot, Runtime Broker is an official Microsoft core process that debuted in Windows 8 and continues in Windows 10. It is used to determine whether universal apps you got from the Windows Store–which were called Metro apps in Windows 8–are declaring all of their permissions, like being able to access your location or microphone. To have a closer look, please create a GetSystemInfo 6 utility report. To create this report, simply follow the step-by-step guidelines here: http://support.kaspersky.com/general/dumps/3632#block7 Note that the *.zip archive containing the report is saved on the desktop by default. Should you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We remain at your disposal. Best regards, Kaspersky Technical Support I am not going to pursue this any further. Everything’s working fine.
  3. Didn’t notice it before but the ‘Reason’ for all these events is ‘Size’.
  4. I checked the box in explorer to show files and folders that are marked as hidden and still can’t see the C\Windows\Explorer folder. Regarding Full Scan Settings, the box is not checked under Size Limit so that is not a factor. Waiting to hear back from Kaspersky Technical Support.
  5. There is no folder C:\Windows\Installer and therefore I cannot find the files (objects) on the report to send for analysis.
  6. p.s. the program is running fine. No malware detected, nothing in Quarantine, no threats detected on any scans.
  7. Is the attached report of unprocessed objects something to be concerned about? Details of the first line are shown at the bottom of the page. Detail of all the other lines is the same, except for the object name.
  8. I have deleted all ‘not processed’ events since my original post. However, I do know that a ‘reason’ was never listed when looking at the details of an event. The only lines in the open window below an event are Event, Application name, Application path, User, User type and Component. As for the Task started - Task stopped events, yes, these always appear after a system reboot.
  9. System Watcher warns that avp.exe was stopped for User NT|AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, and then started again for DESKTOP. These events happen every morning after rebooting system. KIS is running fine. Scans do not show any viruses or threats. How can I eliminate the task stopped event
  10. I am using a trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security version no. 21.3.10.391 (f) on a computer running Microsoft Windows 10 x64 Build 19043. My question concerns the yellow event warnings on the attached screenshots for System Watcher and File Anti-Virus reports. Should I be taking some action to eliminate the warnings?
  11. I am using a trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security version no. 21.3.10.391 (f) I am using Microsoft Windows 10 x64 Build 19043 The attached screenshot shows 3 recommendations In Notification Center. My question concerns the 1st recommendation: ‘Secure traffic in Microsoft Windows Operating System is not monitored.’ When I click Learn more, the second screenshot appears, which discusses ‘How to add the Kaspersky root certificate to the Mozilla Firefox or Thunderbird certificate storage.’ Is this recommendation something I should be concerned about? Does it compromise my protection? I do not use Mozilla Firefox. I do use Thunderbird for email. Thunderbird is working fine.
  12. My URL Advisor is configured the same as your example above. & 3. Norton did flag many more sites than Kaspersky. I have removed Norton from my computer so I cannot recreate the flagged searches, nor can I recall the sites that were flagged. Having used both security suites, I can say that Kaspersky is much lighter on system resources than Norton, which is a pleasure. Thank you again for your guidance.
  13. My mistake. I re-input the Kaspersky support numbers from your screen shot and for the first time, I see a couple of red shields. Apparently it’s working properly. Thank you. I am now wondering how Kaspersky decides which sites are deemed safe. My previous anti-virus suite was Norton Security and they were always flagging dangerous sites, much more than Kaspersky does.
