  1. My machines downloaded an update last week (I think on 8/21). Now, they all are getting an error message from Kaspersky whenever someone logs in, and they are not updating. I have seen several topics on here talking about a bad update, but I have not seen anyone list the fix. What do I need to do to fix this? I am fairly new, and apologize if the answer is obvious.
  2. I have tried this and it gives me the same results. The results show and leave all of my computers in the pending state. Thanks. Any more insight?? Also, should I add my server as an administration server??
  3. I am sorry if this seems too simple to all, but I am brand new to Kaspersky and have not been able to figure out how to get all of the client computers to update their definitions. I have read all of the guides that came with the product, but none seem to help. I have a Windows 2003 server, and all XP client computers. I installed KAV 6.0 for Windows Workstations and the Network Agent on all of the clients. KAV 6.0 for Windows Servers and the Network Agent are installed on my server. I have verified this by checking the Applications tab on the properties of each computer. When I go into the Administration Kit on the server, I have all of my computers including my server in the main "Groups" folder. I do not have any computer listed in the Administration Servers (and have wondered if this might be my problem). However, my server shows green and is showing that it is updating daily while my other client computers all show red and have not updated since they were installed. There is an update task in the task list which was a default task installed during installation which reads "Antivirus database and application module update task (version 6)". When I check the tasks for my server, it does not have this listed in its tasks, but it has a task called "Update". All of the other client computers have the "...(version 6)" task from the task list listed in their individual task lists. I have compared the properties of the server's update task to the client's update task properties and everything appears to be the same except my server has only "Kaspersky Lab Update Servers" checked on the Update Source tab, whereas the clients' tasks have both "Kaspersky Administration Kit" and "Kaspersky Lab Update Servers" checked. The schedules both say every few hours. I have tried stopping and starting the task manually. It always says that all of the client computers are pending. Any help would be appreciated. I would prefer for all of my clients to update their definitions from the server instead of from Kasperskys servers for efficiency; but at this point, I will be happy just to get them to update. Also, should I add my server as an administration server?? What is the benefit of doing this?
