  1. Thank you for sharing. Don't you love it when you take the time to write in a detailed manner and you are then replied to with an answer that tells you nothing basically? Their answer says - it is suspicious and not safe. Do they say why? Do they share what they found? nothing. I would expect it that if a software developer comes forward and wishes to clear his name, the accuser will be kind enough to share his findings, so the developer will be able to either defend it's action or correct it if there is actually something faulty. Don't you agree? Ran
  2. Dear K-SNAFU, We are very clear about what our software does, what we install and what data we collect (non identifiable). If one believes otherwise, we would love to hear about it to make it clearer. Regards, Ran
  3. Our software comes with no toolbars of any sort. Can you please share your source for the claim you made? Regards, Ran
  4. I am aware of the false positives on the multiple software. This has all started when our certificate embedded in our installer was about to expire. Once we re-compiled our installer with the new certificate, the SHA-256 has changed and many engines flagged it incorrectly. Since then any software publisher that was responsive re-reviewed our file manually and cleared the false positive. Sadly, some still do not respond to my emails/tickets or make ambiguous claims that do not fall within logic, or at least my logic. I can assure you that Babylon Software LTD. is on the user's side and we will never do anything that might harm the user or hurt him or his privacy in any way. Anything we install is simply to provide the best service to our users and nothing more. We do not collect any personal information or share that information with anyone. Regards, Ran

  6. Thank you Gjoksi, You get an automated response from that, and once you get a human reply - they stop responding at some point for no apparent reason. Our installer brings up the flag: 'not-a-virus:WebToolbar.Win32.Babylon.au' Their claim was that our software is capable of installing toolbars in IE - which is something we do not do. We offer a clean and clear software to our free and paying users to translate whatever they wish to translate on their screen. Alerting the user about something our software is capable of doing and does not do is simply not fair. Will you lock up all humans as they are capable of hurting someone? If we do something faulty, we can correct it, but hurting our legitimate software for something we do not do? Regards, Ran
  7. Dear Sir / Madam, According to virustotal.com (https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/e9083f4e055a7fbd09f6ac84491f7512ecfbd4a7d0f6a6d7d6812fd842cf933d/detection) you are showing a false positive on our installer – BabylonNG_setup.exe. We would like for you to correct this false positive ASAP or alert us about any fault you might have identified so we will correct it ASAP. Our software is a free translation software with paid premium features. Our installation is clean and anything installed is simply to obtain the word the user clicked on in the request to translate it. There is no toolbar associated with Babylon NG and there never was. I could not locate any location on your site to report the false positive, so if I am barking up the wrong tree, please direct me in the correct direction. Waiting for your prompt response, Ran Eyal VP of Sales and Marketing Babylon Software LTD.
