  1. I eventually gave up and just got him the cheapest data package we could, I think it gives him 2.5gb per month and only costs us like $5 more per month. It is still lame that it requires mobile data for location tracking. Before, when I first posted this thread his phone's GPS worked perfectly without any mobile data (i.e. Google maps).
  2. My oldest son (10) just got his first phone. I've installed Safe Kids to track and monitor his usage. I'm happy with the web filtering and app blocking but location tracking only appears to work when he is connected to WiFi which is a problem. With this being his first phone we opted to only have talk & text service so no cellular data unless he is connected to WiFi. When I attempt to track his physical location I just get his last location that he was connected to WiFi and a message that says "unable to track device". This is a huge deal breaker as this is one of our biggest concerns as parents. I need the ability to quickly see exactly where he is located if needed. His location services on the device works perfectly fine with no cellular data so I'm not sure why this feature isn't working. I have given Safe Kids all permissions and his GPS is set to "high accuracy". Any tips or is this a known issue?
