  1. Just wanted to update. My GSI report was submitted. The solution to my 'Key file' corrupted error was to download an earlier version of the KTS. Apparently there is a known issue with the newer version of KTS on some computers. Remove Kaspersky: http://support.kaspersky.com/us/12188 Then download and install the previous version The previous version that worked for me is located here: http://products.kaspersky-labs.com/english....0.614en-us.exe Not sure if this will work for everyone, but it installed, updated and scanned as expected on the computer I was working on. Hope this helps
  2. I am helping a friend with a computer repair and she asked that I install KTS for her. This was purchased at a local retailer and I am trying to use the Activation Code that was on the box. This is for 3 Devices/1yr It has been installed on her laptop so there should still be 2 installs left. The previous version of the Anti-Virus was removed before the installation. I went to the Kaspersky site and downloaded the KTS per the instructions included in the box. It seemed to install fine but after inputting the activation code the 'Key File is corrupted' error appeared on the screen. I tried uninstalling the program and using KAV removal tool in case there were some leftover pieces of the previous version. I restarted the computer between the uninstall and the removal tool and restarted again after the removal tool.The same Key File error came up after reinstalling the program. I have downloaded the KTS file a second time thinking maybe there was a problem with the original download. Uninstalled and reinstalled but still have the key file error. I even tried using it as a 'trial' version and still had the 'Key File' error. It will not download any updates (I assume that is because it doesn't appear to be a legitimate version) I have done a search for this issue and have seen a few instances of this error, but haven't really found a solution to the problem. One suggested that there were junk files on the computer and said to run ADWCleaner which I did, but still had the error after a reinstall. And yes, I know it is WinXP but that is what the person likes using and system requirements say that KTS is compatible with that OS The Get System info can be found at http://www.getsysteminfo.com/read.php?file...9c4daccc60e1810 Would really like to get this issue fixed and get the machine back to her.
