  1. I just downloaded the latest KSC full package (10.3.407.0) from the website and ran the setup. When upgrading, the wizard doesn't really let you do lots of things in terms of configuring so it's all pretty standard. Afterwards, when the problem already started occuring I reinstalled KSC and defined a different folder. You can see the C:\Kaspersky_Data folder in the screen of my first post, I have changed it to D:\Kaspersky. It filled up that folder with all those subfolders (00, 0A, 0d, etc.) but still get the same errors. I has over 3 weeks since this started happening so I can't just go back to a state 3 weeks ago. Or, I'd rather not because there have been configuration changes since then.

  3. No need to send the file really, because all that's in there is that the task has been scheduled after I click the Start-task button (or when the schedule triggers it). Any previous results are not shown in the task result overview. I've rerun the KSC configuration wizard to change the output folder and the user running it, but it makes no difference.
  4. Assuming you're talking about the file I was sending you. I've resent the link + password to KLCentralSupport. Beware that the link itself is unique along with the password. So don't use the new password with one of the previous links I've sent.
  5. That's strange, I've just tested the password and it's working. Be careful with capitals and possible spaces on the end when copying (there shouldn't be any). I have the following plugins installed:

  8. Okay, but what task do you want me to perform that on? I don't know which task is related to this update folder.
  9. What task do you mean? And how do I attach the result from it? I'm not sure if this happened after upgrading KSC or when I disabled WSUS functionality, because there was only a week or so between them, I may not have noticed the errors before. I'm 95% sure it started after upgrading KSC. But if this is some leftover from the WSUS updates, and I don't have the synchronization task anymore, there doesn't seem to be a way to clean this up.
  10. I did the 'Clear updates repository', but it didn't affect that folder. I forgot what this folder was for, but I think it was my repository for WSUS update. I disabled WSUS functionality a few weeks ago because we're not using it anymore, so I guess this might be a leftover. I have restarted the service/entire server. Also, I've emptied it manually once (I know, not recommended, but as it was already broken...), by stopping the administration server service and simply deleting the files. After enabling the server, the files/folders came right back and also the errors continued.
  11. I think this happened after upgrading my KSC to 10.3.407, or I may have just noticed them. I'm constantly getting these errors, up to 10 times a second. It's listing all kinds of folders in the update folder, and it seems to be correct in saying these files don't exist. But it doesn't download them either. I've also emptied this folder once, but that didn't help. New data was downloaded and I'm still getting these errors.
  12. Ok that makes sense. Thanks. I never bothered to install the management console on the clients itself, figuring I could all manage from the KSC. Solved.
  13. Using Kaspersky Security 10 for Servers and it's anti-cryptor module. I have 2 questions: - I receive a generic e-mail notification of an infected object when it is triggered. Is there any way to find out quickly which host this originates from? I want to know what PC in my network is trying to encrypt data in a share as soon as possible. - Can I find out if a host is blocked? Is there some kind of blocklist from which I can view the hosts that are locked out? I want to set the lockout time longer, but in case there's a false positive, the host is locked out of that share for a long time.

We're using a 3rd party tool to inventory various things about our clients, like installed software, hardware, status, etc. Now I'd also like to know whether or not the disk on a client is fully encrypted. I know I can check this on the computer properties in the KSC, but that doesn't work with this tool. I need to find something on the client itself that shows if it's encrypted or not. So a file or registry key for example. Is there something like that? It doesn't have to be something supported by Kaspersky, I'll figure that out myself. KES 10 SP1 MR2
  15. Please see the screenshot below. In this case, the Kingston is an encrypted USB drive. It was encrypted on a PC called 'ENCRYPTION', but it can be used on any PC within our network. What if I want to get rid of this USB disk?
  16. Yes this works I've realized. However, what about USB disks? They get associated with a PC, but they can be used on many PC's in our organization. Say one gets lost or breaks, how can I remove it without having the remove a client PC associated with that USB disk?
  17. Can you perhaps explain why the Surface Pro isn't supported? It's hardware isn't really any different from a regular laptop. We have quite a few of these and are interested in FDE for all mobile users.
  18. We're trying out FDE of USB and system drives. What is notice is that, when a device is decrypted, it remains in the Encrypted devices list. There doesn't seem to be a way to remove these. Am I right? If so, why is this? Considering we might end up encrypting about 300 devices, this is going to be become a mess over the years. Can I clean-up this list? KSC 10.2.434 KES
  19. You'll have to create a task called 'Install required updates and fix vulnerabilities'. Once you have that, you can open the properties, go to Settings and add rules for updates. You can setup a rule for Windows Updates there, and also specifiy which updates should automatically be installed
  20. I'm wondering how your clients could auto-upgrade to MR2, because I was under the impression that this is not possible. As far as I know you have to install the plugin, download the MR2 package to your KSC and set tasks to install MR2. At least that's how I did it, there was nothing 'automatic' about that whole process.
  21. Sorry I'm kicking this again, but I found this through the search and I was wondering... How about setting up a server in our DMZ that only acts as an Update Agent for remote workers, instead of a slave server? I would rather now setup an entire KSC in my DMZ. EDIT: I realized, would I use the Connection Gateway setting for this?
  22. Right, that's what I meant. I just don't understand why this can be fixed in KSWS, but not in KES (at least not for another 8 months or so). Application Control as only been available for KES to this point and this certificate option has always been there, it just never worked.
