  1. @i n d i o ; We're already talking about your alternative solution b); Thats were the problem happens. See also here: https://cloud.google.com/datastore/docs/firestore-or-datastore Sidenote: For connecting to Cloud Firestore the firebase SDK is used (https://firebase.google.com/docs/firestore/quickstart) -> thats why issues comes from Github Firebase thread...) And again. The solution is quite "simple": With Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 - 2019 its enough if you add https://firestore.googleapis.com/* to Trusted Websites (see attached image - in german...). But it can't be the solution that we have to tell every customer /visitor which uses Kaspersky that he has to manually whitelist firestore.googleapis.com... This has to be built in into Kaspersky as a default value.
  2. 3 Months later problem still exists. More users seems to be experience this problem (https://github.com/firebase/firebase-js-sdk/issues/1190) Kaspersky support wasnt' really helpful - we sent them all log files and data they wanted but they weren't able to solve it (some "default answers"...) Then they wanted to do some "remote support" (which cleary won't solve the problem as its reproduceable on different computer, networks and sites. It's not a problem of single host / computer but somewhere between Firestore + Kaspersky). Its even reproduceable with original Google Cloud Firestore client (https://console.cloud.google.com/ --> Firestore, then watch console...)
  3. Issue sent to Kaspersky Technical Support with additional examples. Now Product Developement checks it.
  4. False. Problem exists always if Kaspersky is activated. It can easily be reproduced. If deactivated or firestore.googleapis.com is added to trusted websites then problem doesnt happen.
  5. As also described in this Github Thread (https://github.com/firebase/firebase-js-sdk/issues/1190#issuecomment-420680207) Kaspersky Internet Security blocks Connections to Firestore. As more and more projects will be done using Firestore this problem should be solved asap. The solution to manually whitelist firestore in settings is no option for "everyday users" ;) Thanks.
  6. @aseddon Thank you. This drastically improved the speed. To Kaspersky: It can't be a solution that we have to disable complete security components to have a half-way workable system. Please fix this problem asap! If more informations needed please tell.
  7. I'd like to hook into this theme; We have similar problems with the Kaspersky Endpoint 10.2.5.3201 and Software Vectorworks 2018. If Endpoint Protection enabled --> Engineers + Draftsman can't work as Vectorworks get's too slow and laggy. If Endpoint Protection disabled --> everything fine. We tried with exceptions for almost everything, also set to Monitor Only Selected Ports (which was proposed from previous poster) - it doesnt solve the problem. Interestingly the "old versions" of Vectorworks (V. 2016) seems to work fine.
