  1. ICMPv6 incoming and outgoing is blocked by default in the configurable firewall, which is fine - Open Kaspersky - More tools - Click on network monitor - Right-click any program, click "All network rules" - Add rule for ICMPv6, outbound and inbound. Possibly "echo request" and "reply" packet type only - Save For compatibility I suggest rules are also added to allow Packet-Too-Big and Parameter-Problem packet types.
  2. Yes this is fixed in KIS15/KTS. The whole application is much better and it's nice to see all products are up to step
  3. Just posting to say this issue is in PURE 3 as well. Eagerly awaiting KTS/Pure 4!
  4. What VPN are you using? For me, Cisco VPN works on both Windows 7 and 8.1, but the same OpenVPN configuration which works on Windows 7 will trigger the Network Attack Blocker on Windows 8.1 using a default Pure 3 installation.
  5. I don't see the problem. Given KIS is for home use the ability for any user to change settings with a password is a plus. Consider if users have moved their "main" account out of the Administrators group and rely on a UAC prompt for elevation when they need it. The exit/pause functions would be unusable for them.
  6. There is, in the "Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky PURE 3.0" directory. Type "avp HELP SCAN" for usage.
  7. You can download it for beta testing if it's that important. http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=161942 edit: linked to the Guide, sted the Beta.
  8. Have you checked your application for programming error? Some Win32 functions require ACL priveleges. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/131065 for an example.
  9. It is blocked. This should do it: Settings->Protection->Application Control->Uncheck 'Trust applications with a digital signature'. Use this setting only if you can deal with the fact that it makes potentially harmful false positives more likely.
  10. It's Windows or other software. Does opening Excel from the start menu work? If that's the case you can just open the grades workbook from within the file menu.
  11. It appears the update was a mistake (stable channel was updated with beta 32.0.1700.72 m briefly) and probably will be rectified, see comments here: http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.ca/20...nel-update.html In the meantime some things can be fixed, for those unfamiliar with Chrome, Go to chrome://plugins in your address bar, and check 'Always allowed' next to the plugin named Kaspersky PURE - Version: 7.0.3.11 Autofill Engine for Gecko and Webkit-based web browsers This will disable the prompt for permission. Then go to chrome://extensions and uncheck 'Enabled' next to Kaspersky's extensions other than KPM if they are giving you problems filling in form fields.
  12. Hi again Norm and Happy New Year. Yes, setting the heuristic to high will trigger a detection: Will be processed after the computer reboot vbsp.exe D:\Programs\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\downloading\211\bin\source2009\bin\? 1/7/2014 11:21:23 PM HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Generic Cheers and hope this helps.
  13. Chrome latest 32.0.1700.72 m seems to have broken some extensions.
  14. I opted for a different approach: disabling write access to '%LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp\splogs'. Unfortunately it causes a memory leak in Chrome's Password Manager plugin 7.0.3.11 but I find that restarting the browser or terminating the extension is less ungainly than terminating the stpass process until this is fixed.
