  1. Chuckak - see my previous post. I believe it is slated to be fixed in KES 8 CF 1 which should be coming out shortly.
  2. We ran into a DB error when we attempted our CF 2 upgrade so we had to revert back to CF 1 for now until Kaspersky Support identifies a fix for us. However, I think the root of our issue may be with disk I/O because RAM and CPU have always looked fine on our Administration servers as well as our SQL DB servers. I am hoping to validate that with our Infrastructure team today and I'll update if I find anything useful.

  4. Yes, I've had the exact same issue for quite some time now and I believe it is due to our servers getting hammered with Warning events (sometimes 10-20 per second!) mentioning something about 'Host does not respond...'. I am told this is resolved with KSC 9 CF 2, which I am installing now (with my fingers crossed)...
  5. I've been told this is resolved in the CF2 release of KSC 9, which I'm installing right now...
  6. Hi Len, what you actually have to do is navigate to the folder where it unpacks the install files when you are attempting to create the installation package and select the .kud or .kpd file in either the x64 or x86 folder. You may have to create separate install packages for 32 and 64-bit depending on your sever environment. If you're still having trouble let me know and I can provide more details.
  7. Hi TexasRanger, this is actually a duplicate of another thread I created (http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=231960). Sorry about that - can you delete this thread for me please?
  8. I would say that's doubtful given that they just opened KSC 9 CF2 up for beta testing earlier today (see sticky post). My guess is we are looking at a mid to late April commercial release.
  9. Hey guys, I'll chime in here as we have also noticed that two critical fields (path to object and action performed) seem to be mysteriously missing from the fields available for selection in the email alerts. We raised this with Support and here is what we received back: "This is known issue. The reason of this issue is the events format. This will be fixed in Critical Fix 1 for Endpoint."
  10. My two cents - use KAV WSEE 8 on any server that is doing anything more than basic file serving. After deploying KES 8 to 1,000+ servers, we have decided to make KAV WSEE 8 our standard on servers going forward regardless of what role they play. KES 8 seems to bog servers down and the scans are much much slower than KAV WSEE 8 (not to mention the numerous installation problems).
  11. Hello E.Markova, we are a bit hesitant to complete the remaining steps recommended in the Microsoft KB article you provided since the article states it applies to Windows 2000. Our Administration servers are running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. Is this article still relevant or is there updated guidance given that this article is 5 years old?
  12. I am seeing a lot of these errors on our Parent Kaspersky Administration server today. Not sure if it's related, but our console performance has been pretty spotty today as well (it's fairly sporadic as it is though). Does anyone know why these errors are being generated and how we can prevent them going forward? Attached are screen shot examples.
