  1. You will need to have your activation code handy, ideally. Reinstalling won't invalidate your license.
  2. Actually, in the case of a laptop (especially if it is an older one), I'd recommend grabbing a can of compressed air from your local computer supplies shop and using that to unclog the heatsink/fans. Works a lot better if you can take the bottom cover off so you can get full access to the fans/heatsink, but also helps if you're just shooting compressed air through the vents. There are lots of online guide on how to do this, if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself then this service should be offered by any pc repair shop.
  3. Hi... Answering your question 'Can running Kaspersky melt/explode my CPU ?' Answer would be no 70-80c is a perfectly normal temperature for a cpu operating under load. If you're unhappy with the temps, I'd suggest cleaning out the fans/heatsink surrounding your cpu of dust to improve airflow, and/or investing in a better heatsink.
  4. Hi PIXELBLACK, Welcome to the forum. A good place to start would be to post a GetSystemInfo log for us to review, it may shed some more light on what the problem could be that you mention in point 1. Instructions on how to do that are located here: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=915 Thanks!
  5. Hi, If you only have one code, then the license is for 3 simultaneous installations of Kaspersky. That means the 3rd installation/activation starts counting from the same day as the first. As long as you only have it installed on the correct number of machines you're good to go.
  6. Hi, Please post a gsi log: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=915
  7. In which case please follow this technical article: http://support.kaspersky.com/8714
  8. Hello, Just for avoidance of any doubt- Please do not post any personally identifiable information, activation codes, email addresses, contact details here. This is a public forum and your posts are viewable by anyone who has an internet connection. Technical support gave you the correct reply. Bar checking that your activation code is for KAV and not KIS- Please follow their link and contact your local country/area partner for assistance.
  9. I'd also ask around on the talk talk forums- http://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums/ They've got customer service reps there that are a lot more responsive than your standard tech support, and lots of useful community info so perhaps there is some information about your issue there.
  10. If you receive a suspicious email, which asks you to click on a link or open an attachment, then the best course of action is to delete it.
  11. Hi, It took me four clicks to find out how to contact support from the support homepage: https://support.kaspersky.com/8610 Please see 'What to do if the activation code is inserted incorrectly' for a link to your my kaspersky account, where you can submit a request to get this looked at. Unfortunately, activation issues are usually not resolvable on the forum so you must contact support.
  12. Hardly, 99.9% of users would not need to even see the custom option, and the other .01% that do should know how to use a command line. Perhaps you should refrain from turning your computer on then, as that is also 'wear and tear'? You also clicked through the installer without reading the screens, this is hardly the fault of the developers.
  13. Please send details to newvirus@kaspersky.com Place 'False Alarm' in the subject line
  14. Hi, Unfortunately the link you posted does not work. Please can you try again?
  15. Please post a link to your gsi log: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=915
  16. Please submit a false alarm report: http://support.kaspersky.ru/virlab/helpdesk.html?LANG=en
  17. Hello, We mean post the report here on the forum. We cannot help you here unless we can see your report.
  18. Sending directly to quarantine would have the same effect as deleting or disinfecting, as a copy is stored there anyway in each case.
  19. Nobody is talking about leaked malware- you just can't implement a working sandbox on 64 bit OS.
