  1. I'd like to endorse that statement. Business customers buy Kaspersky products to get a capable Anti Malware protection, not to get a "All-in-One" solution which is incapable of doing its core functionality in a stable manner.
  2. Sorry but that's not really an answer to my question. If I install KES 10 from the original installation media and insert our Enterprise Space Security license key in the installation wizard, it tells me that the functionalities "Anti-Virus protection" and "Endpoint control" are valid, but not the "Data Encryption" which seems to be correct to me. One Thing to mention: I'll always select Custom Installation, in the installation from msi Package as well as the Push Installation from the Security Center.
  3. Hi folks! I have installed a new Administration Server with Security Center 10.0.3361 and configured brand-new policies, tasks etc. for various Anti-Virus and Endpoint solutions which are already in use in our company. As I want to collect some experience with the new product, this Administration server runs only for some selected clients and Servers. I note that in the new KES 10 policies there are no KL categories predefined in the Application Startup Control section (please have a look at the screenshot for adding a new Startup control rule). It is only possible to create new custom categories in Applications and vulnerabilities => Application categories and then add them to a Control Rule. If I open the Add rule wizard from the KES 10 GUI there are various predefined KL categories like "Browsers" etc. Is there anything I missed to configure in KSC 10? Do I need to update my license to KSC 10/KES 10 to get this feature as we're still using a valid Enterprise Space Security license for KAV 6/KES 8 products? Many thanks in advance for your help!
  4. Yes I saw that option in Network Agent policy but it's not activated at the moment. I wondered that there seems to be no detailed explanation for it, neither in manuals nor in the forum. If it's activated is mobile mode for workstation affected? In this case the workstations could not update as they are on travel. Is there anybody who can shed some light on this option "Download Updates through Update Agents only"?
  5. At first I want to describe our environment: We're using one single Administration server for managing approximately 1000 Anti-Virus/Endpoint Security Clients. These clients are assigned to various Administration groups which are created according to respective location or respectively to network segment. In any location with a local server available, this server is configured as Update Agent for his own group. The used program versions are - Security Center 9.0.2825 - Endpoint Security 8.1.0.646 (a, with Network Agent 9.0.2825 (Host OS is Windows 7 Professional with SP1) - Anti-Virus for Workstations 6.0.4.1424 (6.0 Maintenance Pack 4 Critical Fix 1) with Network Agent 9.0.2825 (Host OS is Windows 7 Professional with SP1 / Windows XP Professional with SP3) - Anti-Virus for Workstations 6.0.4.1424 (6.0 Maintenance Pack 4 Critical Fix 1) with Network Agent 8.0.2134 (Host OS is Windows 7 Professional with SP1 / Windows XP Professional with SP3) - Anti-Virus for Servers 6.0.4.1424 (6.0 Maintenance Pack 4 Critical Fix 1) with Network Agent 8.0.2134 (Host OS is Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard/Enterprise and Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard) Now we're facing the issue that clients are receiving updates sometimes from their Update Agent and sometimes directly from the Administration server, which should be prevented as there are some locations with very limited bandwidth. I tried to analyze it with enabled tracing for update process, provided by remote diagnostic utility but the only thing I can see is that sometimes Administration server is used and sometimes the Update Agent so that it didn't reveal any new knowledge. Is there somebody who can give me some hint to solve that issue? Actually I want to avoid to install slave administration servers in any of that location as it would raise administrational effort drastically from my point of view.
  6. Sh...! Do you know anything about a planned patch for this issue?
  7. Hi folks! I am facing some really annoying issue with current version 9.0.2825 of Security Center as Administration server. We're using only one Administration without slave servers. Some particular hosts are regularly disappearing from Security Center. It seems to occur after the hosts are approximately 24 hours disconnected from Administration server (normally over weekend). The hosts disappear completely from their Administration groups. This applies to different hosts with various combinations of product versions installed and OS: - Endpoint Security 8.1.0.646 (a, with Network Agent 9.0.2825 (Host OS is Windows 7 Professional with SP1) - Anti-Virus for Workstations 6.0.4.1424 (6.0 Maintenance Pack 4 Critical Fix 1) with Network Agent 9.0.2825 (Host OS is Windows 7 Professional with SP1 / Windows XP Professional with SP3) - Anti-Virus for Workstations 6.0.4.1424 (6.0 Maintenance Pack 4 Critical Fix 1) with Network Agent 8.0.2134 (Host OS is Windows 7 Professional with SP1 / Windows XP Professional with SP3) This affects only approximately ten percent or less of all registered hosts and I cannot see any cause for that behavior. The option ""Delete the computer from the group if it is not active for longer than (days)" is disabled for all Administration groups since the beginning. Is there any configuration else which could cause this behavior? Thank you a lot in advance!
  8. Thank you Alexander, I'll send you the files via PM.
  9. I tried the fix and it work for me as the Administration server upgrade is completed successfully after I do a fresh installation of the Security Center including SQL Express and restoring the backup of previous Administration Kit installation. But now there are permanently Warnings displayed in the Kaspersky Windows Eventlog which includes the data "Processing HEAVY rule 'xyz'". The 'xyz' stands for Relocation rule names which are obviously permanently executed as there are hundreds of warnings displayed in a few minutes. In addition there are dozens of Errors in the same log with the data "#1955 Invalid typecast, source='fts_file_get_ua_hosts_for_host'". Do you have any hint for me?
  10. Hi Dzaster, I had sent you a PM with the login details for the FTP server. Please let me know as soon as you have anything new for me. This is really urgently as there's no operable Administration server anymore in our network.
  11. Hi Dzaster, I am facing exactly the same issue after upgrading from Administration Kit 8.0.2163 to Security Center 9.0.2786. The whole process was completed successfully but after this eventlog is flooding with mentioned entries and the Security Center isn't operable. I'll send you all information I have to a ftp and send you the login details via pm.
