  1. This Kaspersky add-on makes my Firefox installation unusable. I have NoScript, AdBlock Plus and Web of Trust installed and everything was working fine until the Kaspersky add-on was installed. Now Firefox CPU usuage has caued Firefox to slow down to such a point where it's completely unusable. Please get this sorted ASAP guys.
  2. Guys, Really want to disable or uninstall Flash from my system because of the numerous security issues that are cropping up. Just wanted to know if Kaspersky Internet Security for Windows uses Flash before I go ahead. Cheers.
  3. No issues with the above. The system works fine and has done with KIS 2014 installed (including full scans), but since installing 2015 this afternoon and performing a full scan, the system overheats and shuts down. Edit to add that I will include the requested information as soon as possible.
  4. I've just upgraded from 2014 to 2015 and right away started having problems completing a full system scan. My machine shuts down in the middle of these scans and displays a message upon restarting that it was shut down due to a temperature issue. I never had this problem with 2014. Anyone any ideas as to how I can resolve this without reverting back to version 2014? Thanks, Thommo
  5. Hmm. I already reverted to 3.4.1 and no such warning is presented by KIS (toolbars are part of this installation too). I know adware is bundled but I never choose to install it whenever I'm installing uTorrent. Basically I'd like to know how harmful the file is, if at all. I would assume KIS alerting me probably suggests that it is, so I certainly wouldn't want to be adding it to the exclusions list.
  6. Tried to update to the latest version of uTorrent but was greeted by a warning from Kaspersky Internet Security: Object (file) detected C:\users\appdata\local\temp\ADKAppsOfferManager.dll/UPX Object name: not-a-virus:HEUR:AdWare.Win32.iBryte.heur Never had this warning from previous versions. Posted this on the uTorrent forum, but despite over 100 views, nobody replied with any information. Any one else getting security warnings when installing this version?
  7. I have version 14.0.0.4651( B ). Does this version include the previously mentioned patch?
  8. Thanks for the clarification. On the reboot request: is it in the form of a popup, or do I have to open KIS to check the computer's status?
  9. Do these patches download and install automatically as part as the definition update process? If so, will the user be notified if a reboot is required?
  10. On the KIS 2014 machines I'm running Windows 8.1 and Windows 7, so don't think it's a problem with just 8.1.
  11. I recently upgraded to KIS 2014 and now experience regular slowdowns when web browsing. Even my Spotify cuts out from time to time. It's getting to the point where I'm planning on removing KIS because it's driving me nuts! I experienced no such issues on KIS 2013. I did a clean install of 2014 as recommended on the support pages. What makes me think the problem lies with KIS 2014 is that I regularly use three PCs at home; two with KIS 2014 and one with Norton Internet Security. Previously, the two KIS 2014 machines were running version 2013 without any problems, but as soon as I upgraded I started experiencing speed issues - no such issues with the Norton machine. So, are we anywhere near solving the issue?
  12. I know the US version is available, but I've been checking the UK servers and there's no update.
  13. Would be nice of Kaspersky to get this out to UK users ASAP. I'm sitting with an offline Win 8.1 box because the current installer won't work in that environment. May have to consider other options if these delays continue.
