  1. That is after running another scan. I use Internet Explorer 8 and neither Firefox nor chrome. Should I delete the files manually? Or had I better just ignore them?
  2. I followed your advice but without result. I just noticed that now the vulnerability name changed to 11.5.9 ( http://img190.imageshack.us/i/79959639.jpg/ ). However, when I click on "Details", the advice is still to update to version 11.5.8.612 or later. KIS recognises that I have the latest version but keeps on appearing the vulenrability. There seems to be a bug.
  3. Please have a look at the screeshot. http://img801.imageshack.us/i/vulenrabilities.jpg/
  4. I am using the latest version of KIS 2011 and I face a problem regarding the following vulnerability: http://www.securelist.com/en/advisories/41065/ Despite the fact that I am using the latest version of Adobe Shockwave 11.5.9.615. KIS keeps on appearing this vulnerability which was first appeared on 25th of August, according to the website. I have tried to uninstall Adobe Shockwave with Revo Uninstaller and then reinstall it but without result. Is there anyone else having the same problem? Thank you in advance
  5. I would like to ask you if KIS 2009 offers the same (or almost the same) protection level with KIS 2010. Are there any considerable differences? Are they being updated with the same frequency? Thank you in advance.
  6. You are welcome. Anyway, if KAV/KIS displays again in the future a warning about a file or a website and you think that this a FP, you can get in contact with Kaspersky Virus Lab here: http://support.kaspersky.com/virlab/helpdesk.html.
  7. I sent a request about this issue to Kaspersky Virus Lab. They replied that this is a false positive and it will be fixed in the next update.
  8. Hello. I am using the latest version of KIS 2010 and the options "Select action automatically' and "Do not delete suspicious objects" in the "Protection" tab are checked. My question is the following: If I enable the option "Select action automatically" in the gaming profile, will there be any difference or is this superfluous? Thank you in advance.
  9. I also face the same problem. So I contacted with technical support. They told me that this bug will be solved in the next version.
  10. In Microsoft Outlook, go to "Tools", "Options" and then in the tab "Anti-spam". There make sure that the checkbox "Use Microsoft Office Outlook rule" is not checked. In the past, I had enabled this option and I had been facing the same problem until I disabled it. I hope that this will solve your problem.
  11. Sorry for jumping in but why is the option "concede resources to other applications" disabled by default in Kaspersky 2010?
  12. What is the difference betweern "Databases are obsolete" and "Databases are out-of-date"? Thank you in advance.
  13. Maybe I was not clear enough before. I know this and my question is the following: In order that Kaspersky FULL SCAN (not realtime protection) would check this *.pst file for malware, do I have to enable "My email" option?
  14. Thank you for your reply. KIS realtime protection scans incoming and outgoing e-mails. However, I may receive a new malicious file which is not in Kaspersky database and could be added later. That is why I am asking how I can set Kaspersky full scan to scan emails and attachments for malware.
  15. I am using KIS 8.0.0.506 and my question is the following: In the full scan, in the objects that KIS can scan there is an option "My email" which is unchecked by default. When it is unchecked, doesn't KIS scan e-mails and attachments? Should I enable this option in order that KIS would scan them? Thank you in advance.
  16. Thank you for your fast reply. I just want to upload them easily to VirusTotal to check if other antiviruses detect them. But now that I do not know where the folder is, I have to disable KIS, restore the files and enable KIS again. That is why I made this question.
  17. I am using KIS 2009 and I have a question. KIS can restore the files that it deletes/disinfects. But I would like to upload to VirusTotal some files that KIS has deleted or disinfected without I have to restore them before. So my question is the following: Where is the folder in which KIS saves the malicious files that it has eliminated? Thank you in advance.
  18. OK. I contacted with Technical Support and I gave them the link to this thread.
  19. I did not use Revo Uninstaller to remove Kaspersky. I used it to find unnecessary files in my hard drive. One of these was av49.tmp.
  20. I am using Revo Uninstaller 1.83 and I ran Junk Files Cleaner. I found in the list of the unnecessary files the file: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP8\Data/av49.tmp whose size is about 19MB. Is it safe to delete it or should I keep it in my computer?
