  1. Hi, I am constantly getting the attached message when in Google Chrome. I've done scans and reset the browser. I've removed all extensions other than Adobe and Kaspersky itself and the home page is a new blank page but I can't get rid of this. I've also tried to get Kaspersky to remember that I've blocked it and that doesn't work either. How can I get rid of it please?
  2. Hi, I have 2 Windows 7 laptops and an HP wireless printer connected via a BTHomeHub. All was working, but now the laptops can't see each other and can't see the printer. Both laptops can access the Internet fine. I have tried disabling the Kaspersky firewall temporarily so see if that was the problem, but no joy. I have worked through the obvious trouble shootting, homehubs are both enabled and have the same password. I can't see the devices on the network and sharing centre, just the laptop I am using and the homehub Is there a Kaspersky setting or update that could have changed this? Regards Helen
  3. Sorry I've found it. It was a corruption in the driver for the HP USB Sync for the HP PDA.
  4. Hi, I'm not sure if this is a virus type problem or not. I am using XP and Kaspersky Internet Security My husband's machine has a constant noise, 5 notes (2 long and 3 short) that are played over and over. It can be muted. The noise does not appear in Safe Mode, but does appear in nornal startup even with all startup apps and all non Microsoft services disabled via MSCONFIG. (I had one moment when I thought that I had fixed it but it turned out that I had just disabled the sound services!!!). It starts a few seconds after the Windows has loaded and I can't stop it even by removing all the processes that I am allowed to remove from the Task Manager. Can anyone help please Regards Helen

  6. This has improved the situation, we don't get the DEP messages, but we are now getting Dr Watson messages instead. These can usually be cancelled, but sometimes freeze the system and sometimes result in the familiar blue screen. What should I do next?
  7. I have tried this, but when I try to save the boot.ini file I had the error message that it couldn't save and that the file was read only I've tried to find it in Windows and by running Command and trying to remember my MSDOS commands, but I can't see the file
  8. The install worked fine. There has been some improvement, I still get the DEP error messages, but now when I get them I can just shut them and carry on (or I can so far). Before the buttons wouldn't respond and I had to use Task Manager and End Task. What should I try next to get rid of the messages - I have set DEP to "turn on for essential windows programs only"

  10. Hi, I am having problems on a laptop which keeps giving DEP errors and/or blue screen of death since I installed KIS6. I understand from other topics that this may be fixed with MP 2, but when I try to download it I get error messages saying that the file is not there. I have tries all the ftp and http sites Regards Helen

  13. This is now much better and works for long periods, but it is still disconnecting overnight or if it is left unattended for long periods. Is there a timeout setting I can change?
