  1. I create backups with a command script that makes use of the Volume Shadow Copy Service found in Windows XP and Vista. Since installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus, the vshadow.exe tool fails on Vista. I have replicated this failure on a clean Vista install. The tool still runs fine on XP. Any suggestions?
  2. In that case, please consider using ISO format. http://www.w3.org/QA/Tips/iso-date
  3. I would like to disable the login screen icon using group policy. Is it possible to do so?
  4. As an American user, it is confusing to see dates in the DD.MM.YYYY format when I am more used to seeing them in MM.DD.YYYY. If possible, it seems to me that either a) they should be displayed in ISO format or the date format should be a configurable user preference. (Or maybe it is a preference and I'm not seeing it -- if so, please point me to it.)
