  1. Could be interesting to know if KIS/KAV protects against these attacks… Anyone have a comment on that? -salva
  2. I have a problem that Kaspersky hangs on startup on several computers just before the login prompt appears. In my event log is says: Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7022 Date: 26-09-2007 Time: 08:36:19 User: N/A Computer: 24JF Description: The service Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 service hung on starting. After about 1 minute KAV restarts and the login prompt appears and everything seems to be fine. Does anybody know how to fix this? I have read the tread earlier (http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=30501) about downloading bl.ppl but it’s from January so I thought it might be outdated. I’m running KAV 6.0.2.690 and 6.0.2.678 Any help please? -Salva
  3. We have a Sharepoint 2003 server where we use webfolders to open documents and so on. After we installed KAV 6.0 Workstation it is very slow to copying files to these webfolders. I have found out that it has something to do with Proactive defense -> Application Activity Analyzer. If I disable Application Activity Analyzer I can copy files normally. Under Settings, I have tried to disable each option, Dangerous behavior, Launching Internet browser with parameters and so on but it doesn’t seem to help. I have to disable Application Activity Analyzer. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it safe to disable Proactive defense? The Help says that I can add “it” to the Trusted Zone but I don’t know what to add!! Any help is appreciated -Salva
  4. I just read an articel about virus/spyware trends in 2007. It said that more spyware and rootkids will be trying to be installed on clients than viruses. Will Kaspersky focus more on detecting and removing spyware and so on in the newer versions or do I have to install a separate antispyware program on all clients? -Salva
  5. When will it be available to download and when is the admin kit 6.0 coming out?
  6. How do I get the KAV icon beside the clock on Windows server versions? - Just like on clients...
  7. No, only msxsl.exe a bunch of DLL files and chm... No folders as I have on my other server. I installed MSDE (not KAV's MSDE) succesfully and installed KAV admin kit without any problems. But when I start ADMIN kit it ask for the .cert file but can't find it. Maybe I should install KAV's MSDE??
  8. Yes, after I start the admin kit or trying to log on, it ask if I want to download the certifikit but it can't find the file
  9. I have installed KAV administration kit 5.0.409.0 on my Win2003 server and MSDE with success but the administration kit can’t find a certificate. (C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Administration Kit\cert) How do I create a certificate? I have tried to reinstall the newest netagent but with same result -Salva
  10. I have the same problem with MS Access. When using macros the the program hangs but with macros disabled in KAV, it's not a problem -Salva
  11. I was wondering if KAV for fileservers supports Microsoft Sharepoint portal server 2003 running SQL server 2000? -Salva
  12. Great, I'm looking forward to take a look at it. Hi Salva, The version of new KAVE will be 5.5 instead of 6.0. (don't ask me why ) The most interesting from my point of view features: - it will support "extended bases" - it has VirusScan API 2.5 that allows KAVE work on Exchange 2003 - it can check mail when Exchange is set as router - it can delete infected messages (not only attachments) - it has improved GUI It will be released in May 2005 Regards, Igor <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  13. Ahh yes. Now I can disable KAV Thank you
  14. It’s been awhile since KAV for Exchange servers was removed from the beta pages. What is status now? I can’t see it on the product list either. I’m looking forward to take a look on the new features -Salva
