  1. AAAARGH! I installed KIS 2013 last week and set up the full scan to take place on Sundays at 0900 as I have always done. Unfortunately KIS keeps changing my settings scheduling the full scan to take place on Tue Wed and Thurs at 0900 and even though i keep resetting it, it always changes it back to that again. I must stress that I removed all the KIS 2012 programme and settings before installing the new 2013 version, so there should be no problem there and I have never encountered this problem with Kaspersky before. Can you please tell me if this is a known bug and how to overcome it? Thanks!

  4. Yes that has solved the problem almost completely, thanks! I have deleted all my temp files and all internet content and it is still a wee bit slow to load IE8 although the web pages load very quickly again. Still, I'll get used to that. Thanks for restoring the sunshine to my life! :bravo:
  5. Yes, the same things have happened to me so I suspect there is a definite issue here! See: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=183645 I had to upgrade to Outlook 2007 because KIS 2011 doesn't support Outlook 2000 and the same thing is happening to my Outlook.
  6. I installed KIS 2011 (as a free upgrade on KIS 2010) last week with all the default options selected except anti-spam and my PC is now running very slowly, particulary IE8 which now takes ages to load a page. Also opening any program takes much longer than it did under KIS 2009 which I found very fast and efficient. Using my PC is now akin to watching paint dry and equally frustrating. I know my system is not the most modern around but I have had no complaints about it until now. Can someone please tell me which features of KIS 2011 I can safely deselect to get back to my previous satisfactory speed without compromising my security altogether? :dash1: GetSystemInfo_MESHXP_Grant_2010_08_24_17_37_28.zip
  7. It all went very smoothly as you predicted, gents. Thanks again for your advice!
  8. Bitter experience has taught me to steer well clear of registry cleaners actually, Berny, so that would be a last gasp option. I think I'll just wait for a moderator's opinion as you say because I am in no hurry - unlike my mother! 8-)
  9. Thanks for that Berny: Yes, I did read that but the other part of my question was whether or not I should use Kavremover9 or just uninstall in the normal way. Can I take it that Kavremover9 should not be used in this case?
  10. Hello, I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 on my mother's XP PC two days ago after first removing her Norton IS when prompted to. Unfortunately I did not read the forum first and as a result I did not use the Norton Remover tool to clean out the remains of the installation. As a result she has had all sorts of crashes and requests for dump info etc to be sent to KIS. I propose to use the Norton Clean up tool now and reinstall KIS 2009 but my question is whether I should just remove KIS through Control Panel's Remove Programmes utility or do I need to use the Kavremover9 too to ensure a clean reinstallation? I have already dwonloaded all the relevant tools from the Internet. Or is the total removal of KIS 2009 not recessary as the reinstallation of KIS 2009 will set things right automatically? Any advice would be welcome! Grant
  11. Obrigado DonKid! I did that this morning and it loaded up 100% in a few seconds. The buffering time was already set at 1 second actually. Would you recommend that I leave my WebAV settings at max permanently?
  12. Sorry, the file anti-virus is on recommended, the firewall is on low security and the web security is on recommended if that helps!
