Kaspersky Security Cloud

I have been using Kaspersky for the last four months with no issues. Recently I moved to a new house and contracted a new internet provider. still - no issues. Suddenly I have no upload speed. other devices in my home network show no problems. the only thing that worked for me was disabeling Kaspersky firewall. Any ideas what can cause this strange behavior? and what can solve it? Thanks

I am running the latest version of Kas Security Cloud Free on Windows 10 I have the database to update every hour and it NEVER does. After 24 hours I get a popup notification in Windows Action Center telling me to open KSC. I open it and low and behold…. NO UPDATE

Hello all, if i connect an external drive via USB<>SATA adapter to check another PC-HDD for viruses, and then i use the selective scan to scan (for example) the P:\ drive, kaspersky will follow any junction point from P:\, and being the P:\ drive a windows HDD, with appdata, users, etc etc junction point, the result is that I waste time scanning my drive instead of the external usb one !! P:\Users → C:\Users and so on: it’s wrong, and very dangerous!! Is there any way to avoid it?? Thanks.

I was told that Windows extensions were not displayed in file names and while it is important that they are, they already were. I was also told that the running of Linux applications was enabled, that is true and deliberate, but the explanation regarding character case seems wrong. I believe that Windows is indifferent to case names so that it will run the first program it finds with that name regardless of case, Linux will only run the program if it has the correct case.

Hi, This may be a detail, but I have noticed that whenever Kaspersky throws up an information window about new security developments (for example “An exploit was discovered in the wild for program xy. It should be updated immediately.”) and I click on a link to a report or something, the link opens up in Internet Explorer instead of the default browser. If there is no specific reason for that, it should probably be changed. Thank you

I bought a 1 year subscription to Kaspersky Security Cloud, and want to renew it now while I know I can without undue stress. I know I will have job security and can meet essentials in the future, I don’t know if that includes a premium antivirus. So I feel I should purchase it now while I can. But I don’t want to do that if the subscription will start counting down immediately. I would only do that that if it was added to my current sub and began counting down immediately after my current sub ends…. I hope I am making sense. Any guidance from on high?

Heyo Guys, Recent time the potentially unwanted application sAntivirus Protection Lite started lurking in the internet. However kaspersky couldn’t detect it, despite multiple scans with updated database. The application is really frustrating, it not only slow downs your sys, but most possibly causes high network traffic (which became susceptible, when I was getting high ping on my games, despite stable internet speed) Well hope kaspersky, does something bout it. And the major question is about it’s source. If I’m Not wrong it actually, got downloaded from zoom. What do you guys think about it?

Hello I have Kaspersky Security Cloud, and the license I have allows me to protect 3 devices. One of the devices I would like to protect is from my mother, but she is not very fluent in English, so I would rather have her installation in Portuguese. Is it possible to have one of the devices installed in a different language (Portuguese) and the others in English? Thank you

Every time i insert a flash drive or any external drive Karspesky scans it to do its security check. This may be a good hing but unfortunately it stop the drive (as I have it set up to do in Win 10 Pro) from opening o Explorer. This bothers me a lot. How can I stop it in doing this? I want Explorer to open. Seeing that more often than not my drives haven’t left the house I would rather stop it from checking my drives then preventing my Explorer window form opening. I do like it checking my drives and would like to keep it as is, but if I have no choice then I would stop it from checking my inserted drives. Thanks in advance

Hi. I would like to know if using kaspersky will burn more of my allowed data (from my internet provider), as oppose to a non cloud program ? does the program always communicate with the cloud? if not, at what frequency does it communicate ? thanks

The free version of Kaspersky Security cloud is blocking me from accessing Utah Pride Center’s website. I get the following message whenever I attempt to visit utahpridecenter.org: Prevented visiting a website that presents a data leakage threat Prevented visiting a phishing or fake website designed to trick you into giving away your passwords, credit card details and other private data. I recently started using Kaspersky Security Cloud Personal, not having used a Kaspersky product before. This evening it informed me there was an update available for the K-Lite Codec Pack, which I’ve previously updated myself (it checks for and notifies of updates itself every couple of weeks). I clicked to allow KSC to do the update. Part way through the update I started getting warnings flying open from KSC demanding to know whether to allow or block various things - mostly Registry changes, many for each of the various different components of the K-Lite Codec Pack. Cloud Security is telling me that it’s not available in my region/country.I’m living in Poland and Poland is in EU but after I select EU in the instalation options it still doesn’t let me turn on that thing. I switched from Total Security to Cloud. I also installed Safe Kids on several devices and it works fine but under licenses it still shows up under the old Total Security license that is expired. When I go to devices and try to add the Cloud license to the device it says the code could not be found. While all programs are working correct it is kind of annoying that the licenses dont show up correct. Stephan

Just wanting to leave a positive review, Kaspersky has never done me wrong, had a couple screen freezes here and there when i mixed BitDefender with Kaspersky but i’m not here to complain i’m simply here to thank the developers of this amazing software for wanting to keep the cyber community safe :) I have a rather beefy computer so i haven’t had any lag issues or anything, i’m running Nvidia Geforce RTX2080 Super with a i7-8700K with 16GB of DDR4 ram running at 3200MHZ i believe with a 1TB M.2SSD.
