Kaspersky Password Manager

My lappy specs :- windows 10 21h2 I want to ask a question, that after unlocking the vault, Is it still safe and secure from viruses ? i.e., Can any virus extracts those passwords when the vault is open, or, Is it still encrypted in any way ?

I have regular sync problem sin the last few month. Application reports that I should check my internet connection. Well, connection is OK, with VPN turned on or off. To "solve a problem" (and not always) I must to on my.kaspersky.com on 'change main password' section and do it (even if I set the same password) and then restart KPM. Well, this just isn't OK.

Thinking of security, should I use KPM or the cloud for storing my files? I know Google Drive has 15 GB of storage, does KPM have any storage limits? Is it recommended to use KPM instead of cloud? Let me know your opinions, thanks.

It is both a question and a suggestion. Recently, Apple allowed developers to create extensions for the Safari browser in iOS/iPadOS 15. To keep pace with this, 1password has created an extension. As you may know, iOS and iPadOS do not allow third-party password storage programs such as Kaspersky to collect the account information you enter in the login form. This means that it is only possible to manually store passwords for new sites in a passwordstore, not in iCloud Keychain. In such a case, Kaspersky's creation of a plug-in for the Safari browser on mobile will make Kaspersky Password Saver more attractive and powerful. But do you have any plans?

I recently had one computer fixed and purchased another. The tech installed Google Brave as the browser on both. It appears that neither the Safe Money nor the Password Manager work with this new browser. In order for them to function they open Google Chrome. Has anyone in the community had this experience? Does anyone know if Kaspersky is working on making these features functional on Brave?

I have an account with website iStorm in Cyprus and when I try to login the site in Windows 11, Chrome browser, KPM shows it's logo in green (denoting I have an account present in KPM) and enters what it thought was the login but it was the username and not the email address (my earlier mistake when I should have entered the email address). According to Kaspersky publicity material, passwords stored in the vaultare encrypted and my data is not known to Kaspersky. So how are Kaspersky able to produce a report telling me how many times my passwords have been hacked according to “have I been pwned”?

When I open an entry how do I see all the info such as my password for that site?

I think kaspersky password manager must have a mechamism to share confidential data between two users in a safe way, same way some web sites do. Generally you put sensitive data text in a message and set that message will be destroyed after the first view or after some date. I don´t trust in a site that offers to you in a free way, I think Kaspersky can do better this job and give a user security that it´s information allways will be confidencial

When logging into Kaspersky Password manager on any of its products, an idea that came to mind is to use a physical security key instead of using a master password. Thoughts ?

I have my settings toggled on to ask me on startup for my password but for the last 2 days KPM has stopped popping up asking me for my password and is automatically active which is not what I want as if my PC is stolen the thief has all my passwords!!

Where can I find the startup settings for the password manager --- I would prefer to start it myself --- now it starts when the computer boots up

Is it possible to store .xlxs and .doc files in the vault. I see that i could save files to vault only in pdf format. Any solution or idea on the above??

I have noticed recently that upon generating a password using the password generator, and then accepting the generated password (closing the KPM generation window), would cause in quite a few cases to show password strength as "Medium" in the website view stating the reason password should not contain commonly used combinations. However, the password strength in the KPM window (while generating) would show up as "strong". Not sure if this is a bug, but if the password is of medium strength, it should not have been generated at all. If it is indeed a strong, then should not show up as medium in the website view. Hi, I'm interested to use Kaspersky Password Manager. After I installed the app on my Windows laptop, Android phone and iPhone, I noticed that my subscription / license status is inconsistent. On my Android (LG G7+), the status is Premium Version because of Kaspersky Total Security, and with Valid Through matched exactly on my KTS license (3 devices). But on my Windows 10 and iPhone, the status is free. Please note that this happen while I'm exporting my LassPass vault and it failed to import the data to KPM, possibly that I have more than 15 entries (KPM Free limitations). So which one is the corrent status? Please help thanks

The situation that I have seen come up countless times is that I create a login and password for one site, then eventually that company decides to change its names and stuff and now I have that login and password saved for a second site, when the two are actually the same login & pass for the same site, it just happens to exist behind two separate domain names. For example, microsoft with its microsoft, live, hotmail, and outlook domains (many of them existing at a whole range of different tlds too). I personally would like to see a PC or "device" category/template to capture PW logins for different PC's and devices. For PC's it would be great to capture specs via fields, on that PC - but not a deal breaker there. I'm an IT pro - saw a competitors product that has fields for ip etc, but they didn't have folders which, with 140+ passwords to manage, is why I finally moved from BlackBerry PW Keeper. How about the ability to create custom templates ?
